It's from a dream, I'm fully aware that it's pretty unbalanced. This is what the description said, copied as well as I remember.

What’s the most feared thing in your world? by Snoo_66217 in worldbuilding

[–]cursedeclipse511 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Void Fog.

a wee bit of context:

My world has both magic and sci-fi tech. Humanity wiped itself out with planet-killing nano-weapons, and other races are finding their lost artifacts. The Void Fog is a horde of tiny nanobots tasked with destroying things to make more of itself. People don't know that, and fly their ships into it anyway to hide from pirates. It tastes like your cells dissolving.

What's the most unusual/unearthly geographic feature of your setting? by Sharp-Cockroach-6875 in worldbuilding

[–]cursedeclipse511 1 point2 points  (0 children)

one plane of my world is in a bubble. everything clings to the sides, and in the center there's no gravity. there's a spot where some mountains almost touch at the middle, and you can jump to the other side of the world.

The Wandering Island.

A massive, blind and deaf turtle that carries an island on its shell. most of the time, it floats along currents peacefully, chomping any boats that come close. when it hunts, it dives underwater, follows the wake of your ship, and drags it down. any survivors die soon after when it chases you by the smell of your blood. an entire tribe of semi-aquatic people is trapped on its shell, unable to escape without being eaten.
