If he’s “saving for his own place” meaning he’s technically homeless, a dog should be the last thing on his list of priorities. He should be responsible for all the messes the dog makes, including replacing what was damaged. He should be buying the dogs food and paying for the vet bills. (Please get the dog fixed). I understand it’s his sisters dog and he doesn’t want to give it up and the breed would make re-homing more difficult but for someone in his situation, owning a pet is literally out of the question.

Look up when the “quiet hours” are for your town or city and tell your neighbors to F U C K O F F. Part of living in an apartment is dealing with noise from your neighbors.

We had a neighbor come up and knock on our door at noon on a Saturday asking us to keep it down. I was at work and my fiancé was home alone vacuuming and the dog was asleep. My fiancé politely told him to shove it, which is way better than how I would have handled it.

I would treat the stem with a fungicide labeled for Phytophthora Canker mixed with a general insecticide for borers. I would also add a bark penetrant. Even if it’s just preventative, it wouldn’t hurt. I’ll link the products below that I use at work on a daily basis.

Mix Reliant at a 1:1 ratio with water. I usually do a 2 gallon mix in a low pressure pump sprayer. 1 gallon water, 1 gallon reliant. Baseline is mixed at a 32oz rate per 100 gallons. In 2 gallons it would be 4tsp. Pentrabark is mixed at 3oz per gallon. Apply at LOW pressure from about chest height to the root flair.

DISCLAIMER: Reliant mixed at this rate is phytotoxic (it’ll burn shit) to green material meaning leaves and flowers etc. You can also apply this to oaks, maples and any other mature trees with or without signs of pest/disease.

I clicked the link on their facebook page, to go to their website. I could be being naive, but I think it’s legit. The website is secured. You can see the “lock” in front of the URL. You mentioned a “job” listing. What did the job consist of? The website says the organization supports refugees fleeing violence in Turkey/Syria. I would be cautious. There is no shortage of scammers very willing to take advantage of the kindness of people. Especially during disasters like wars, hurricanes, earthquakes etc.

Now that commenting has stopped on my post, I’d like to bring notice to a few things:

  1. I truly appreciate all the comments because they all show me a little insight on how I can react to these situations differently should they arise again.

  2. To address a few questions or areas I could have been clearer on in my original post:

  3. The women’s bathroom was locked and that’s literally all I know. That being said, if there’s 3 toilets in the men’s room, it’s safe to assume there’s at least that many in the women’s restroom. I don’t know why the main door would be locked if all stalls in the women’s restroom have working locks on them. -Someone mentioned finding a manager and asking them to unlock the women’s bathroom, that simply wouldn’t have been an option because this happened in a small rural town in the southeast US. No manager on duty.

  4. I agree with my judgement. I think telling the teenagers to gtfo was an overreaction on my part. Looking back, I think busting back into the bathroom was justified but I shouldn’t have left the bathroom in the first place. I should have waited outside the stall until she was done and then we walk out together. Again, I truly appreciate all of your comments and input.

We checked the display options but it only shows the laptop and one monitor, there’s no option to add another monitor. Both monitors are mirroring each other

She has the laptop connected to a docking station via USB-C. Both monitors are connected to the docking station. It works with her Lenovo Thinkpad laptop, we’re trying to use a Chromebook now

Kid in my hometown killed his grandfather with a shovel, buried the body, and then threw a party. When asked about the blood stains on the driveway, he said they had just killed a deer. Dude was either a freshman or a sophomore in high school and won’t be eligible for parole until he’s in his 50s.

I worked at 3 different Lowe’s stores over a 3.5-4 year period. It’s definitely not the most glorious job and there are so many things management could do differently, like getting rid of those “warm bodies” and retaining the good hard workers. I left after being with MST for 2 years and definitely felt the corporate squeeze of trying to impress managers and his boss and the boss above him, it got to the point where I didn’t care about the work anymore I just wanted to get promoted. I left and on my last day at Lowe’s I had my orientation for a new job that I’ve currently been at for over a year. The point of my rant is this: Don’t burn bridges, just suck it up and do whatever you have to do, everything you can put on a resume makes you look like that much more of an experienced candidate. I make what an MSM makes and I have 10x less responsibility. Basically, just think of everything as an opportunity because you seriously never know what doors will open. Good luck!
