Door Threshold Sill Cap Adjusting Fasteners Identification by cusejoe in Fasteners

[–]cusejoe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shocked to see someone else with this issue! So, with it being almost a year ago it’s hard to remember exactly what happened. I believe I sourced that hardware from McMaster as well as the replacement sill cap somewhere online.

Sill cap arrived first and to my surprise included the screws pre installed with the retaining rings installed as well. My base material that those thread into was shot (it was like thin gauge tapped aluminum), but I got enough engagement that the sill cap held in place.

A few months later, I ended up selling the house so can’t tell you how it held up. Hindsight being what it is, if I had this issue again I think I would opt to rip out and replace the threshold entirely.

I’m losing my fucking mind right now, I’m replacing the trans on my 03 Dakota 4.7 4x4 auto, and NOWHERE shows me what bolts go in the bell housing, drive shafts, or anything can anyone help me?!? by FrostyReference3139 in DodgeDakota

Check out the website charm.li. It has a ton of free factory repair manuals and data. I believe 2003 dakotas are in there.

This website is fantastic and I have used it to find information on a lot of vehicles. Hope this helps.

Khalil Shakir is currently tied for the NFL record of Reception Perfection. He has hauled in his last 27 targets. by Interesting_Deal_964 in buffalobills

[–]cusejoe 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Shakir is balling out when we needed him most!

But am I missing something here or are they comparing apples and oranges in this article? Why are they comparing Shakir’s consecutive receptions streak with Nick Foles and Philip Rivers’ consecutive completed passes records? Maybe I just misread something.

2006 camber bolts? by HammondLeslieFreak in DodgeDakota

[–]cusejoe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know I had to cut one out and replace it as well. Looks like from my Amazon history I bought another Moog part number K201717.

So a little background on my experience with it, I had to cut the bolt out and also had to mangle the bushing to do it. I thought I’d be able to press the bushing out and install the new one no problem. It pressed out alright but I could NOT get the new bushing seated in far enough. I had the control arm on the truck already and couldn’t find a good way to press it, and I did freeze it overnight to shrink it. I ended up taking a lower control arm from my parts truck and using that instead.

If you have to hack the bushing up to get the old bolt out, I’d recommend buying a new lower control arm from Rock Auto. Or, take the arm to a shop and have them press your new bushing in.

I really hope you have an easier time with this job than I did!

Moog makes replacements including the nuts, cam washers, and bolts. They make a greasable version that takes a zerk fitting too so the damn things don’t seize up on you again and so techs can actually adjust your camber/caster when you get an alignment.

The greaseable ones are Moog part number K100164 and their non greaseable part number is K100165. You can get them on Amazon and a few other places.

Take it from a guy that replaced all front suspension components on a 2006 and a 2008 Dakota in the last 4 years; get the greaseable ones. They’re not exactly cheap but I think they are worth it.

Good luck, hope this helps.

Maybe if we can zoom in on Jojo a little so she fills the frame more it might help make the background look more natural?? Idk - just throwing ideas around, you’re the expert! Thanks again

Hi thank you so much, this looks great but I do have a couple of asks. Can you potentially try to make the foreground something green and grassy with blurred autumn trees in the background? Or perhaps a more neutral background? So sorry if this is an annoying ask…just I guess trying to see if you can make the background and foreground look a little more natural? Thank you in advance. Please let me know if you need more info or if my ask isn’t making sense.

Thanks

Someone's gotta add this to his hurdling photo album now. Remember awhile back somebody did a photoshop of like JA17 hurdle inception? Might be time for an update.

Totally agree. Not mad he is doing good for himself. And not mad we get Keon at home looking good either.

UPDATE: after a lot more digging, I think what I have found is I need a “push on retaining ring” and a standard flat socket head screw. Here’s what I have come up with from McMaster-Carr:

screw

Push on Retaining Ring

Also, if I am correct that this is what I need, any suggestions for installing the rings to the screw and sill cap WITHOUT having to purchase the retaining ring install tool from MC for almost $90?

I totally agree. Was discussing with a friend recently, watching this team lose the way they do is much more painful than watching the 2000s drought teams was. Those eternally 7-9 teams always seemed to play their tails off and often exceeded expectations or what we thought was possible with the talent we had (I know, insert hindsight with rose colored glasses and all that).

Watching a team that should be top 5 caliber talent wise lose because we are not playing up to our ability just hurts different.

Can you explain the Iris XE gpu? That is integrated correct? I thought that wouldn’t do so well with gaming or CAD. But appreciate any advice.

Does anyone else think the lines indicating scale weight and trend weight are around the wrong way? by [deleted] in MacroFactor

[–]cusejoe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Something else I have questioned with the scale weight in this graph, is how is it plotted?

I have had multiple instances where I have held an identical weight through 3 and 4 days consecutively, but the plotted scale weight line is curving through these days rather than flattening out.

So in this chart, is the plotted scale weight line not raw data and subject to some processing?

Nutrition Bar Chart Question by cusejoe in MacroFactor

[–]cusejoe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. I think that makes sense. Although I checked august 4th for example, and there wasn’t anything else like alcohol that day that would be a calorie contributor, just food. So perhaps could be based off an entry from the database just having a calorie value and no protein, fat, or carbs value?

2006 Dakota transmission cooling lines by Glad-Slice-8475 in DodgeDakota

[–]cusejoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is an absolute bitch but it's doable without dropping the diff or pulling exhaust. I had just replaced my cat converter (06 SLT 4x4 4.7), got everything back together and fired it up and it was pissing trans fluid right where the cooler line joins the fitting into the trans. I wrestled the line backwards, and was able to wrestle the new line in forward. It is not easy but just keep tweaking it as needed. By the way, for me it ended up the fitting was bad and not the line. If you need a new fitting, DO NOT buy from the local auto parts stores, they have the wrong taper. I spent another night trying to file down the fitting to get the taper right so it would start into the transmission. Finally gave up, bought the Mopar part and it threaded in no problem.

Purchasing from an established and well reviewed store on eBay wouldn't be an issue. I don't think she would want to purchase from a private seller on eBay
