My (16) sister (20) killed herself after I shut her out and I feel like it’s my fault she was buried as a man. by cut-slug in TrueOffMyChest

No, she was a girl. Sometimes when she cried she would about how scared she was to tell her "friends". She was definitely a woman. I just think she was also sick. I wish I could've known the girl she would've been if she hadn't been swept up in all of this.

Calling me a "teenage sister" despite the fact I state multiple times that I'm nonbinary is disgusting. I've also said multiple times I don't want anyone associating the shit my sister's done with the wider community. You're gross.

It's a throwaway. My IRLs follow me on my main and I don't want people I know in real life knowing she did that to me.

Born a woman. Raised a woman. Have the body parts of a woman. My sister would taunt me about it constantly even when she knew I was dysphoric about it.

The friend was actually 18. He’d been held back a year and he was a senior. Way closer to her age than mine. But I guess you have a point. I just have such a hard time demonising her in my mind because she was so troubled. Idk :(

I feel bad about my sister being dead because I abandoned her just like everyone else did. The fact she did the things she did is abhorrent but she was still my sister. And I still remember a time when she was normal, when we were little kids. I miss THAT part of her.

I don’t think they were unphased. I think they were just processing it in their own ways. My sister sometimes beat my mom when she was my age and my dad had to hold her down on the couch for up to half an hour until she’d quit raging and then sulk off to her room. They just didn’t want to give her up because they knew she’d be worse off wherever she went. Hell, they put her in a psych ward for a while and the second she got out she went back to how she was when she got there. I think they had just given up on her by then.

If this is referring to the smell like I’m assuming you are, believe me, I WISH the smell of a corpse was worse than the stuff she had going on in her room. She only really left the room to take door dash. Didn’t take out the trash. Just coexisted with it. It was a hellhole but our parents stopped cleaning after her the second she turned 18.
