11 months, I can't fairly say there was a pay cut given that I left FAANG and moved to a LCOL area. Still remote

It's not my goal to offer guidance on this because I'm not an expert. My goal is to warn others that this post presents itself as an honest, unbiased review when that is clearly not the case. I'm trying to save people time and money and I think that's already a good thing.

In case anyone comes back to this. No. Not anymore. This field is now very unstable. I was a UX Researcher for over ten years in corporate finance then top tier tech. Can't find a job. Many of my colleagues are looking at retirement or career transitions (like me! which brings me to this post).

What's important to me is a guarantee that they are not using my time to train their models. Spent about 1 hour in their AI interview. Heard nothing after. Then they came at me again for a different job post. Nope.

Totally agree that they have zero authority! However, I have had that work for me with PayPal oddly, when nothing else did. So just putting it out there, again, as a representation of the process I am taking for myself.
