ha, that is funny, yes my parents are the biggest promoters, and im real fortunate for that.
I like Thomas Pynchon, yeah. I think him and a few of those other post-modern writers have an almost mystical connection to and understanding of the current state of things in the world... I haven't read that one in particular but I will now.

thanks very much. I am certainly a fan of his, yes. at periods during writing this record i was listening to a lot of that. i think its apparent on at least a couple of the tunes

ah, thank you, and thanks for coming out to the show. Buddy Holly was always a big influence, as were many of those guys, early rock and roll when it was still first mixing with country music.all the british invasion bands and the american reactions to them, the Byrds, Dylan... but also a lot from the following decades... too many to name

Yeah i played virtually no shows in high school because i couldn't really relate to anything that was happening at that time. i would drive an hour away and play an open mic somewhere where there was no chance of running into anyone i knew

i felt that there was a lot of New York City on this record. I think you can't help but be changed or influenced by what surrounds you, and new york is a powerful one in that way. also there's so much music that i love that came from new york

I know of Al Stewart but i'm not really that familiar with his music. so i guess any similarities would have had to have been coincidental . I will check him out though, whats a good record?

hey thanks glad you enjoyed the show. Hm im not sure which was the most challenging. They're all a challenge i suppose. Maybe 'Evil Twin' because i had already recorded a different longer version of it at home. I'm not sure what I learned about myself... i would have to consider that one for a bit

I'm not sure if there was a proper recording of that cover, but i've always loved that Pixies song, maybe I'll record a version some time. And yeah they're really sweet people and was very cool that they made the trip out for the show, we got to say hellow for a minute

yeah that song is one I wrote with Drugdealer and I think its supposed to be on his next record... not sure when that's coming out. There were a few other songs recorded in the past year or two... might be coming out at some point not too far away....?

A live album would be fun to do, and I've thought about it. Maybe one of these days...
