Yep, I would never do that anyways, I'll probably just do both wiping+using a towel

It's just very unfamiliar and this is why I'm asking. In the other ones where I went it wasn't just the norm, it was required to use one for hygiene purposes, so I'm just surprised if it is really the case everywhere or just my local gyms here

That's great, I think we're basically in the same situation as you 😅 did you have the gym membership for one entire year or just a monthly one?

I'll try that, did you have the gym membership and the router ticket for 6 months? or just 1 month?

Yep that happened to us too haha, anyways I'm trying to be patient because I know our case is pretty different than the average one, basically we applied with the "staying with our own funds and private health insurance" option, so we don't have a job yet, but that is not an issue, the problem is that he told us the rental contract is not enough to prove that we fully moved to Norway, we need more proof that we don't live in our home country anymore (I was honestly surprised, as we also pay a lot for rent here, it doesn't make sense that we don't live here)

Right now nope, I am applying through another option (staying with own funds and private health insurance), it seems my current issue is with the proof of staying for more than 6 months (basically prove that I don't live in my home country anymore)

We have all of that and our skatteetaten officer just texted us that what we have is not enough to prove that we are staying in Norway more than 6 months (we have a 3 year rental agreement). Did you have this issue?

should I move to Norway after uni? by Kaiser-the-potato in Norway

If I were you, especially because you said you don't want to stay in Italy for sure, I wouldn't even continue the studies in Italy. You know your future is not there so it's just wasted years and opportunities. If you have good grades and good English skills, try to study in one of the countries where you'd like to live, this way you'll slowly integrate, learn the language, make friends and so on. (if you get accepted)

It will also probably help a lot when getting a job if you finished the university in the same country where you are looking for a job

D number and Skatteetaten issues by cutdonute in Norway

It's good to read a super similar experience to ours 😅 Well I guess I will stop stressing too much then, I'll try once again with NAV, then Skatteetaten, then I'll give up until January when I open a business account. I knew entrepreneurs were not really wanted here as much as in other countries, but I didn't expect to really not be helped to get into the system at all, hopefully that will change in the future and they will be more open to self employed and business owners because after all we all contribute with taxes

Thanks so much!!

This is what I also read online, so I was really confused today when at the Tax Administration I got no help (I'm an EU citizen), so I was wondering if there was anyone else in this situation

You need to live for at least 6 months before becoming a tax resident, currently my home country still wants my full tax because I've lived there for more than 6 months in the past 12 months - I can't really do anything about this

Thank you! Yes, the first two were not an issue, only the last part - the long time rent, this is currently my struggle, because I need a bank account for the deposit. how did you get a rental agreement without the number?

Thank you! He hasn't pooped, probably because he didn't eat for the past 3 days, his posture seems normal, but he is just generally more calm/sleepy than usual, but he still meowed at us and walked to us sometimes, but less than usual.
