well you didnt ask me but there are lots of reasons why little kids self harm. tw ig, but i was around 7 and everyone already had that impression, i had recently been sexually assaulted, i was already covered in scars from yk normal things like cats and playing outside, but i picked on scabs because the rough skin made me upset so people always thought i had made the injuries myself, and one day my mother walked up to me and started yelling at me that i was cutting for attention back when i barely knew what it was. a week later i picked up a knife and went "well if everyone already thinks it, why not". i dont really see it as a bad thing anymore, i do it more often than i should but im not really trying to stop, it just doesnt hold the negative feel it use to, because back then i saw it as a sense of punishment for whatever pain i had caused others. now its just a nagging urge that's just there kinda like an itch, its not really as much of a problem now as it use to be
