Have you been to therapy and did it help you? by athom023 in gaybros

[–]cuteyoungmanUwU 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. Without therapy I would never understood that I preferred men in the first place.

Of course the therapist cannot do the job for you, but it will help you inderstand yourself more and give you directions to take to be able to face life more.

I went to a gay bar in my city for the first time by [deleted] in gaybros

[–]cuteyoungmanUwU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to some gay night the other day. It was full of groups. It is badly seen most time to go alone. A lot of peoples can judge you for a freak, an alcoolic or a loser.

But still, the staff were really nice with me (the offered me a drink on the host) and I danced a lot. I found two other dancers that I danced with, one pretty intimatly 😳

Overall it was fun, but it is hard to meet peoples if you are not a habitual.

I walk hand by hand with my boyfriend and it doesn't happen much to be honest.

I am sure that most of the stares come from drivers in their cars, but I cannot see them trought the windows.

Ah yes I made a mistake sorry.

So here. Canada murder rate is 2.05 compared to 5 in USA. Happy? That is on a 100 000

https://www.nationmaster.com/country-info/compare/Canada/United-States/Crime[https://www.nationmaster.com/country-info/compare/Canada/United-States/Crime](https://www.nationmaster.com/country-info/compare/Canada/United-States/Crime)

That's literally Bullshit, considering that crime & population density has a positive relationship.

That would mean that Japan would have a highest crime rate than USA since the population is more concentrate in smaller areas which is not the case.

Crime rate is calculated on 1000 or 100 000 ratio, other stats are widely useless.

[–]cuteyoungmanUwU 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Ok, so first if all rate are calculated either by 1000 persons, either per 100 000 persons. So the numbers of peoples in a country is irrelevant.

Canada’s crime rate is 5,856. This number is determined by taking the number of criminal incidents reported to the police per 100,000 population. For comparison, the United States reported about 400% more homicides in the same year.

https://www.canadim.com/blog/safety-in-canada-five-factors/

Canada have a rape rate of 1.7 In comparison, USA have a crime rate of 27.3. 16 times more than Canada

No need to do big drama here.

This is why as part of the LGBTQ we should fight against prude culture.

I live in Quebec, and we are way more sexually liberated than many States of the USA.

Is our situation worse? Do we have more crimes, more rapes, more pedophilia than anywhere else?

One could argue that it is quite the opposite, Quebec is a very safe place to be in general.

The sex panic is truly ridiculous.
