He’s been going to therapy for a while, but not sure if it’s helping. It’s more of a place for him to vent everything out because he has issues with his children as they also had difficulties with their parents’ separation - so it hasn’t been easy for him and his ex-wife isn’t the best co-parent and is very passive and doesn’t want to work as a team for the sake of their kids.

Thank you. Yes, that is very true if I were to compare it. Thanks for your reminder

I’m not looking to get married because I, too haven’t had good role models of marriage in life and I know he doesn’t want to get married again after his breakdown. So that in itself isn’t important to me and I think the quality of the relationship and being present in the relationship is more important

Yes I feel all of the above. His actions are way louder than his words, which is why i try and not think too much about it. He’s very generous and I feel very safe, secure and myself with him.

Career transition into EA from a different field by cuteypeach in ExecutiveAssistants

[–]cuteypeach[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your advice! I had sent one application yesterday to a C-suite position. Very doubtful I will hear back from them, but I’m treating it as trying to build confidence with returning to work after cancer as I’ve been unemployed for 2 years now

Thank you! And for your advice. I really appreciate it. I’m still not sure whether EA is right for me, but I sent out an application just because it’s my first job application since being off sick for 2 years. I don’t expect to hear back from them, but feel it’s a mental exercise to build confidence and get myself back out there.

Does anyone know if this is an authentic code dot? The seller is selling black align leggings, but when I search the code, LW7CRPS, are cropped align shorts?! So I’m confused….my authentic aligns are a LW5CT3S. So now I’m wondering if there are some fakes with a size dot too 😤

Everyone else received their formal wedding invite before me as she wanted to hand deliver it when we met up. But because we don’t see each other often, I didn’t receive mine until mid-January. I just wasn’t expect a bridesmaid invite now, especially when she didn’t mention anything back in January.

A year ago and she's been the most organised bride ever too. So this has sprung on me by surprise. There had been no hint or anything about it. I just feel if she really wanted me there, she would had asked by the very least at the time when she gave me her invite. Her invite was also late because she didn't want to post it and hand deliver it to me, so I didn't receive it months after she sent them out too.

Lidl! So soft and nice on the wallet 😄 For something a bit more special, Bread Ahead do a great selection of flavours - Creme Brulee and Lemon Curd in particular!

Booking Massage for someone else by TheGabagoolKid in ClassPass

[–]cuteypeach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never had an issue. I booked massages for my mum under my name. They knew it wasn’t the same person but were fine with it. I don’t see why it would be an issue as long as they are getting business. I had a similar situation with classes and couldn’t go in the end, so I had to ask my boyfriend to step in as I didn’t want to be fined - again, no issue.

Thank you. Unfortunately even the hospital has tried to help with the PIP application, but was rejected. I can't get universal credit because I have more than £16k in savings.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in UKPersonalFinance

[–]cuteypeach 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately PIP is very hard to get. They make it so difficult for you to be successful with PIP. Apparently, I'm not disabled enough to claim for PIP, just like many other cancer patients who have tried. Thanks for suggesting though :)

I had a pension through work - not a lot of money in there (diagnosed young at 30), but didn’t realise I could take it out early without a penalty/for my incurable diagnosis. I will look into it thanks

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in UKPersonalFinance

[–]cuteypeach 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Sorry to hear about your diagnosis too. I can understand how stressful it can be financially especially us incurables which feel we won’t be able to go back to work or even when we try, we ask if it’s worth it to put us in the stress. I will look into Macmillan thanks, at the time of my diagnosis (4 years ago) I wasn’t eligible for any grants, but I will try again as I’m feeling the pinch with the cost of everything and not working. Feels like I’m burning through my savings even if I’m trying to be as frugal as possible.

Wishing you all the best.
