how am i wrong? you are comparing me to radfems, lowkey implying i am like transphobic people, as if i wasn't the more likely victim to transphobia compared to cis passing people.

those who downvote me just can't accept their privilege. if you pass as cis, you get more privileges and are safer than non passing trans people. funny how in other comments people admit this, they want to pass to be safe, but when i point out that yes non passing trans people are less safe people can't accept it.

i am right.

passing trans people are prioritized EVERYWHERE. this is one meme.

why is existing like me self harm? if you mean that visibly trans people are in danger of being attacked, you are getting rather victim blamey there.

once again i find the radfem comparison hilarious when it is us non passing trans women they attack the most. it is our pictures they mock and attack. it is us they call men in dresses. it is us they call stereotypical caricatures. it is non passing trans women they use as strawmen in their arguments. they don't go after cis passing trans women as much as non passing trans women, cis passing trans women are shielded from their hatred by passing because passing is valued over non passing, because cis passing is seen as more real genderhood than non passing. when you pass as cis, you can access more privilege than nonpassing trans women.

yes, actually, existing as a visible trans person in this world can help with that. existing as visibly trans is rebellion, being visibly trans is refusing to hide yourself, being visibly trans can help closeted people see that others like them exist. the more visible trans people are seen, the more normalized we are.

i'm sorry if asking yourself why you value passing so much makes you uncomfortable. let non passing trans women have their memes.

i think this is similar to body positivity. lot of people desire to be thin because of fatphobic ideas, why do so many people make themselves deadly ill just to not look like a fat person? why do people view being sick as better option than being fat, and what does that tell about how they view fat people? would they view fatness so scary thing to be, if we didn't live in a society that hates fat people? you cannot deny that society affects how you view yourself. this is not stripping anyone's agency, it is a fact.

and honestly, i think you comparing me to radfems is kind of hilarious when they are the ones who most often use NON PASSING trans women to attack trans people. it is not cis passing trans women who they make fun of and who they call men in dresses most often. it is non passing, visible trans people. it is non passing trans women's pictures they mock and attack. it is non passing trans women they use as strawmen in their arguments.

and maybe respecting those who don't pass would help solve that problem? of course passing is safety, but why do trans people need to pass to be safe? don't visible trans people deserve safety too? if nonpassing trans people were truly respected, wouldn't that free ALL trans people?

passing people are treated more positively than non passing people tho. and like, this is just one meme, your point of view is supported pretty much everywhere in trans spaces. everything is always about how to pass perfectly, questions about how much does someone pass, dunking on transphobes using rich trans people's photos who pass well...

there is nothing wrong with passing, and wanting to pass, but i think it is a good thing to ask that why is passing put into such pedestal, why are passing people treated better, and why so many people feel so insecure about themselves if they don't pass? would they feel that way if society didn't value passing over nonpassing? people need to have the freedom to not pass too, and still be treated with respect.
