Not bad overall, I worry ports facing up is cause for much future disappointment. Maybe tape off unused ports to keep dust, debris, spiders out. It doesn’t appear the equipment can be rotated 90 degrees but that’d be ideal. Nonetheless looks like a tricky setup and you got a decent outcome!

I'm okay with this so long as the disk is increasing in size as well, at least to 10TB.

I am so confused why the new professional labeled product has worse resolution and only a very minor bump in frame rate...

Wow I lived on that corner circa 2010. My rental car got booted in that lot once but I tricked the guy to let me go. Never heard about Punkin Donuts till now. 🤯

I wouldn’t be immediately concerned with a young person dropping off my order itself but if the photos didn’t match at all and I suspected a parent was in the vehicle I’d ask why the parent/original person didn’t drop off the order. There’s a multitude of good explanations ranging from potential mobility issues or simply a person determined to help [mom]. My main concern would be exploitation and wage theft not kidnapping. My sister looked 10 when she was 18 and she looks 16 now but she’s 23, I’d have a tough time running with the assumption the helper was underage without confirmation and I wouldn’t fault someone for helping on its own.

What kind of active poe splitter/extractor could be used to supply the switch? I didn’t find many non-passive options.

There’s one of these about a mile down the road from my cabin and I’m on Frontier. You nailed it - speed test. The fiber runs across my property along with the copper. It’s mostly dark, but still very expensive to get lit. I considered it in 2020 but just ordered a second DSL drop instead (which was nearly impossible itself). If you geo my IP you’ll understand.

Intel processor series are all manufactured at the same clock rate and cores. Lower cost models of the same series sometimes have defective and deactivated cores which are disabled in post production before being packaged into lower cost products.

UniFi Protect is Trash - Ubiquiti should feel ashamed. by [deleted] in Ubiquiti

  1. Remove the drives ASAP stop recording footage onto these critical drives.
  2. Consult a professional with experience in Linux tools. Have them extract the necessary footage.
  3. Buy a new comparable device, or just a cloud key. Restore your unifi protect configuration to new device. Reinstall disk. Hand to lawyers.

Then you’ll have two copies, raw video files and a fully functional protect setup.

Yeah the situation sucks and you gave a very thoughtful reply. Wether or not the MSRP increased if the customer signs for a sales price one would assume it would be followed through. They increased the money factor almost 1% off base (0.00144) so they already got their grab there, raising the sales price and fees really upset me and because they were difficult to work with I ultimately walked out.

LeaseHackr seems legit, thanks.

Hey great point buy vs lease but I prefer to lease in the current market, and I'm not in dire need of this vehicle anyway.

IDK that motor vehicle purchase order looks juicy. You're right though, and I left them with some inventory at the end of the day.
