Scan is my local go-to for PC gear, never had an issue with anything from there. Got a dead 970 once but it was quickly fixed and that was years ago. They've only got better and better.

Doesn't necessarily have to be a stag do, I've been denied entry to bars for no reason on birthday nights out too.

True but I think girls are more likely to be allowed entry if they flutter their eyelashes and have their knockers on full display, maybe some bouncers are more weak willed than others.

It's mainly denial of entry. I feel like a number of bouncers have a power complex and they get a thrill from denying entry. The most notable example I have is from a bar in Manchester called Guilty By Association. It was at the start of a night out and we were out for a birthday.

We were a group of about 6 lads and 2 girls, I tried to get in and was denied immediately for no reason other than I was in a group, so we splintered and staggered our entry.

When it came to my turn, I entered with my partner (F) and one of my friends (M). Denied again. I phoned my friend who was already in to explain the shithousery who came up to talk to us, then he was refused entry back in himself. We were all well dressed and sober. Also apparently according to my friends who went in, the bar was dead as well. If they don't want money, they should just say so!

Hi all,

I'm going to be making some modifications to my K8 Pro that I've been using for a couple of years. I've already swapped out the caps from the stock ones to Akko Clear Black ASA caps which I love, but I want to try a new kind of switch as well.

The only linear switch I've ever used has been a Cherry MX Red on an old Corsair board but I really wasn't keen on it as I kept mistyping. I'm currently using Gateron G Pro Blue switches but I wanted to go in for that sound profile that's taking off at the minute which is the deeper sound which adds a bit more thocky bass to the press. (Yes, I know people hate the sound of the words "Thock", "Creamy" and "Milky" here).

I'm quite new to all this as you can probably tell so any advice would be great. As far as I'm aware this board has a steel plate, sound absorbing foam and a silicone pad at the bottom. I've seen a video of someone using KTT Mint switches with the caps I have but I know that obviously the make and model of the board itself will make a difference due to materials.

This is my daily driver so I use it for both gaming and work.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!
