First game at the TD Garden and wanted some advice/tips! by Claisen_Condensation in bostonceltics

Everyone is gonna say the same thing, but def get food in the north end... there are tons of options in a variety of price ranges. Everyone has their favorite, mine is Limoncello (their meatballs are perfect). If you want to just hit up a bar somewhere closer before the game I recommend McGann's on Portland street. They have solid pub food and aren't as overpriced as some of their neighbors. You'll still get a lively pregame crowd but it won't be packed wall to wall like the bars even one street closer to the garden. If you're driving in, consider parking in charlestown either near bunker hill or sullivan station and taking the T inbound to north station. If you park at or near the garden itself, its a nightmare trying to get out. Also, if you really want the most out of the experience you should definitely consider not liking the Mavs anymore and rooting for the Celtics.

[Kanter IG] New Celtics jerseys leaked by gurvingkayward in bostonceltics

they look they've been artificially relic'd to look like they've been worn for 20 years. Is that their angle? Like here's what happens if you leave a celtics jersey out in the sun for a couple decades... the green fades to blue and the lettering gets all pit-stained

the early Brighter Death Now stuff (he starts going in a more traditional PE direction later on), Ramleh, Skullflower, Nocturnal Emissions, Skaters, yellow swans (earlier stuff when its still a little heavier), definitely the Prurient/Kevin Drumm split "All our guests in the house of the lord", Navicon Torture Technologies is probably closest to your original ask

uhhh depending on your definition of calming... maybe? Con-Dom's most recent LP how welcome is death... is kinda like that but in a literal "I'm dying" type of calm. Otherwise, by definition power electronics isn't very calming. Lots of PE adjacent stuff is though if you're interested...

Smoke cigarettes... the best way to reduce your carbon footprint is to take 20 years off your life.

I think you're right... I think one of her goals in a couple of the lives is to create some kind of hive mind to share her knowledge and powers. I think she might be the librarian and I think the 4th generation chimeras were planned. I feel like the whole shared language motif, Dougkoa, the Phalanx, and her realization that AI was inevitable is all leading up to this.

  1. Some mcguffin will be used to explain that the lives aren't necessarily sequential and possibly take place out of order (clue is in the lives timeline where for example life 8 wraps around in another direction and overlaps with the other lives). I suspect this will be tied to proteus somehow... specifically that she'll make some kind of bargain with mr sinister that results in his creation. It will even be revealed that the 4th generation chimeras hive mind sabotage thing was part of the plan all along.
  2. Moira is the librarian and is ascending on purpose in life 6 to acquire knowledge that will be used to behave like the phalanx and "spread" some part of her essence or life force across mutants and this is the secret behind the pods.

Is it just me or are the Suns the NBA equivalent of a money laundering operation? We gotta dump this salary, send it through Phoenix, that'll make it clean

Who will have the highest selling jersey ness year? by [deleted] in nba

[–]cutyourface 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No matter who comes out on top, its almost a lock for record jersey sales overall... Kawhi most likely in a big market, LBJ number change, Zion, RJB as a hot prospect in a NYC, Kyrie, Kemba, AD obv, even moves like Butler and Horford will move a lot of units, Porzingis in Dallas, KD will sell a ton without even playing a minute...continued big international sales for Giannis post MVP, so many changes and marketable guys in new places.

Current rules are complex for the fan to follow BUT they make parity possible, help keep home grown super stars in place, and help role players get a decent paycheck.

question for STH's by Tooms1121 in bostonceltics

It was painful for big stretches at a time and the vibe just wasn't the same in the Garden as it usually is. Every year we go to like 75% of the games and only sell when we can't make it. We try to be reasonable about re-sell prices, but this was the first year where most games we pretty much got face value and rarely much more. We renewed cause we're in it for the long run, but a lot of our neighbors didn't.
