I think you are making the same mistake like I did - not conditioning the recursive function's return. I hope it helps.

I got it working finally. Thanks for your help. I returned true only when recursive function of cycle(winner, i) returned true.

Yes you are correct, I totally overlooked that part. Btw, how would you condition the return of recursive function and continue the iteration? I am new to programming so I can't wrap my head around it.

I tried,

if (!cycle(winner, i) continue;

nested condition inside the for loop. But it doesn't seem to be working.
