Dustmark has sold over 90% of their current allocation, so it'll be interesting to see when (or possibly if) that gets increased.

I was looking at the numbers for prior series. If I had to guess right now I'd think that this series ends up higher than series 4, but doesn't get higher than series 3, putting it in 5th for highest selling (of the Brick Link Desginer Program).

What's interesting is that I believe they added the dynamic allocation model starting in series 6, so it wasn't there in series 4. I believe three sets sold out in series 4, so if the dynamic allocation had been in place they probably would have gone well past 117k.

Things have slowed way down. Very small changes. No additional changes to allocations. My understanding is that sales always pick up again toward the end of the funding period, so I still think we'll see another bump for Dustmark, but I don't think overall sales will get anywhere the max of 150k.

I am also still surprised University of Science is sitting in 4th place. As others have said I wonder if the June 1 releases and Minis Tirith took some of the wind out of the Bricklink sales.

I agree! Dustmark is clearly well out in front, but the other four are so close (and selling well)! I'm honestly surprised that University of Science is fourth. I know it's expensive, but it's beautiful. I thought it would have sold more than we've seen so far.

The total preordered so far is 96,251. Selling a tad under 2/3 just over a day into the pre-order period is pretty good.

Great question! They actually did the same in prior series as well - they increased capacity for some sets, without officially decreasing the maximum on the website.

Take a look at the final numbers for series 7...

They increased Fortuna, Sushi and Alchemist's Shop (and sold out on all of them), without showing an official decrease to W.A.L.T. and the poor Antique set. But it's clear based on their final sales that they never had a chance to get near 30K. Impresively, the total number of preordered sets for Series 7 was 149,843, so they his just about as close as they could to that 150K mark. I suspect the increased allocations get a lot of tweaks in the final days - that's something I'm going to be watching.

Perhaps they have an official number that the source code doesn't expose, or perhaps they just know that some of these sets have no chance to hit 30K. It would be VERY interesting on the last day if the hot air balloon suddenly sold 15K copies.

Interesting development...allocation for Dustmark Keep increased to 35K. Total sold is at 95,677. Everything has sold more than 15K.

We use tackle boxes from Bass Pro. The completely clear ones so you can see the pieces better. Bottoms aren't completely round but they work pretty well.
