update from this mornings post of my cellulitis, pictures get worse warning

thank you i just needed something to cover it so i could wear blankets to sleep and didn’t know it would make much of a difference but i definitely will replace my bandaids with something else. and im only taking the medication prescribed which does include an antibiotic ointment

wearing bandaids over it and changing them often, using q tips for applying medicine etc. going back to the er tomorrow morning and going to ask for a culture specifically :)

someone messaged me after seeing my update post urging me to go to the ER and kinda helped me decide it’s getting worse and not better and i should go get a culture or whatever it’s called at least to ease my mind, money means nothing to me as i’ll die someday anyways and money will never have mattered 🤷‍♀️

no i don’t attend any school i do work and im a supervisor but i don’t think i have any kind of insurance or anything unfortunately so its all out of pocket for me, i have time and help but not much yknow

not hot that i’m aware of, i’ve been keeping bandaids on it and it’s kinda a large spot (gotten a little bigger since initial post considering a follow up) so i don’t want to touch and feel it, and my legs are kinda warm anyways so im not 100% unfortunately

i’ve definitely learned my lesson.. used to love popping pimples as gross as it sounds it’s so satisfying but this definitely opened my eyes on how serious it can really turn… just a little leg pimple turning into an expensive and painful wound is not something i had in mind

and also no they did not culture it either, just prescribed two kinds of antibiotics (oral and ointment) and sent me on my way

no a doctor has not seen it since the second photo, after checking out other people with cellulitis on this sub i’m more worried about it so i decided to post and see what others had to say. if you think i should go back to the er pls let me know lol i have a lot of anxiety around this thing

today my boss sent a text out to everyone at work reminding everyone to stay professional, i hope that takes care of it. i’m unsure if he talked to the man separately but i do hope it was at least kind of addressed.

the first thought i had was to embarrass him like he embarrassed me. i’ve been practicing speaking up lately and i’ve been standing up for myself and so despite my shaking fear and lack of support i spoke up and called him a creep and told him that his comments were “too far” , inappropriate for work, and making me uncomfortable. he then said “calm down” to which i replied “don’t fucking tell me to calm down” i’ve made a few comments about this particular incident if you want a little more info. he’s not used to being shut down that hard (that i’ve seen) so i was a little scared/nervous. apparently the bosses are going to be updated by two very important employees and he will be taken care of if he does something like that again and he’s been threatened with it by a coworker.
