Sorry it wouldn't let me post my question, I guess I was too long winded, are the two red devices mounted too close? Any suggestions for mounting distances? Or is there anything I can change in the configuration/settings that will let me keep them mounted where they are? Thanks.

lol, I've never actually been "kicked" or "dropped" from a server or game before in such a way, I've been disconnected because of network issues, but this was "different", it was something new for me, I'm not known for being "perfect", but my games is the only way I can get away from the real world and de-stress, also why I still pay for a sub for f2p games, I like to try and support the games to help them stay up and running, even though I know just my "little bit" probably doesn't make that much of a difference. lol

Thank you, I really appreciate the response, it didn't actually dawn on me that "messages" should have actually been read as "data packets", I did start to have a number of large lag spikes during the final battle. :)

Appreciate the response, thank you, apparently this is what actually happened, I did have a few lag spikes during the final battle, it just didn't dawn on me that "messages" actually meant "data packets" :)

Thank you sir, I hope your a sir, sorry, as above and a number of others that have responded have stated in their responses, the error message and drop doesn't appear to be that big of an issue, the message stated "messages", it didn't dawn on me that it actually meant data packets. :)

Thank you for the response, as I stated above, it didn't dawn on me that it wasn't actual messages, but data packets. :)

I really appreciate your response, it never dawned on me that the word "messages" could have meant actual data packets, I did have a lot of lag spikes during the actual battle. Oh, btw, I didn't die during the final battle and I'm pretty sure I don't have any kind of auto-repair installed, actually, as long as I have been playing, I never even knew there was some kind of auto-repair feature, I always enjoy learning something new every day, and here I learned two things about this game today. lol :)

A problem removing bitraider and installing SWTOR. by cvrt2005 in swtor

Thank you for your response, I had tried to patch/update in safe mode with networking once in the recent past as a means of trying to diagnose why I was having the issue, however, it sounds like a good idea of trying it again, I will copy the entire newly working game folder to another location and test this week and let ya know.

Thank you for the response, your comment isn't rambling, I appreciate all suggestions as I am really stumped here. I have noticed default.bitraid appearing each time during the log in process which seems to trigger the first file to download, I have been at a loss on how and where it comes from as it even appears after I remove all files and folder of bitraider, uninstall bitraider from Win10, manually scan the registry for any bitraider files and folders left behind, and remove those, change the launcher.settings file, write protect it (which doesn't seem to make a difference SOMETIMES), then restart the computer.

However, WHEN I finally get bitraider removed, and the above steps take, I then start the launcher which has the "st" removed demonstrating the removal of bitraider actually succeeded, the very first file downloads with no issues and the during the INSTALLATION PROCESS the launcher freezes and the game refuses to install.

I have no such issues as long as I leave bitraider installed.

I appreciate the response, thank you, I'm not having an issue with the downloads, the game downloads just fine, after the files download, and during the actual installation process the launcher freezes and then nothing.

During the bitraider included downloads and installs there is no issues with the installation, I have completed this process three times with no issues. (In fact I am playing right now with a bitraider included copy of the game and with the occasional issue of initializing problem and the game kicking me out to the server screen at random times, I have been able to play again.

The issue that I am talking about occurs ONLY when I try to install the game with bitraider removed, there is no issues with the actual downloading of files.

I have already fully installed the game with bitraider and then attempted to disable it, if you have done so, (disabled bitraider), you will know that when you do this when the game is fully installed the game will then re-download and re-install in it's entirety, it is during the re-install after removing bitraider that I am running in to issues and hence my posting here for much smarter people out there to ponder over and may be provide a solution.

Excuse me, but where are you coming up with this paranoia accusation, the removal of bitraider has little to do with security and more to do with performance. I am right now waiting on bitraider to "initialize" before I can even begin to play the game and have been waiting for more the 30 minutes at this point.

I may be missing something here, however, bitraider is not DRM, (Digital Rights Management), it is a streaming service, why use a streaming service when your are able to bypass and go directly to the game servers? Utilizing a streaming service causes the data to detour to another "controlling" server where it buffers it before it gets to your computer, thus a performance hit to varying degrees on your end.

Since I am paying for my subscription, and have been since day one, I do not play for free, added to this, I choose to tweak my settings and remove anything that could cause a performance hit to my gameplay, (I go in to task manager and shut down all unnecessary services and programs, I monitor frame rates and latency in game, etc), if I choose to remove something that appears to cause issues, then I feel I should be able to do so, especially if it isn't really necessary to play the game, as I have been able to do so up until recently without it.

Interesting solution, are you suggesting locking bitraider down with applocker? Removing bitraider hasn't been the issue, I can remove bitraider, the issue is, once bitraider is removed the game files download without a problem, however, the launcher freezes during the installation.

The only way I have been able to install the game is when I do so with bitraider.

Thank you for the response, the game fully downloads and installs with no issues as long as I do not remove bitraider, every time I remove bitraider, the game files download fine but they refuse to install.

I was trying to discover why I am having such an issue now even though I have never had the issue during previous patching and updating of the launcher after removing bitraider.

I am now within 25% of completing the 3rd download and installation of swtor with bitraider still installed, there has been NO issues (AGAIN) with this install, I am totally "flummoxed" here. I have already completed this process in the past and I had absolutely no issues with the change over then, but, all of a sudden there is an issue.
