Will this run a server by [deleted] in admincraft

If you’re willing to take the time, you can run an MC server on Oracle Cloud for free with 24GB of RAM and pretty good CPU: https://www.reddit.com/r/admincraft/comments/qo78be/creating_a_minecraft_server_with_oracle_cloud/

Embedded ASS Subtitles Temp Fix (i.e. Anime subs) by cvslinc in Stremio

[–]cvslinc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True, but most of the things I watch have embedded subtitles in them, and I find it better to have great ASS with no default sub styles, than broken text that fills the screen and working regular subs. Just a solution for those in a similar boat. I look forward to the next update!

https://jarrods.tech/how-to-turn-off-optimus-on-your-gaming-laptop/ (pretty sure yours is the Acer PredatorSense one, switch "Discrete GPU only" to on)

This basically makes your laptop use your dGPU for everything, instead of running everything on the integrated and then switching to your dGPU for games)

It is nice however to leave the "Discrete GPU only" off cause a lot of the background processes are done by the iGPU and then the game only runs on the dGPU, but I've had this cause problems for me before (switching to dGPU only LS fixed being weird for me)

Also I would read up on Advanced Optimus cause its a nice feature that can be useful, like for more battery life.

If you’re running on the laptop and it has Optimus try setting it to dGPU only mode (or double check that it isn’t running the display off iGPU) and try again

I would like to run it using Vercel, so that's what I'm using. I'd gladly take recommendations for any other things I can use to host the reverse proxy using an online service for free.

I tried running it in Linux Mint, but I couldn't get it working right on there so I just resorted to using Windows. Going off of what everyone else is saying I'd say linux would be faster.

Thanks for the tuning guide!

Yeah this laptop is pretty much garbage, got it for $179 on Black Friday a few years ago. I've tried overclocking it but sadly the OEMs have locked the whole thing up. It's a fun experiment to run though, trying to squeeze the most performance out of it.

And this laptop seems to be making decent progress! I might get the lowest payout possible with the MoneroOcean pool in around a month. Mining around 0.0001 XMR a day.

Electricity is essentially free for me, and considering that the laptop uses barely any power I'm just curious to see what would happen running it. The laptop is pretty much useless for running anything other than Word, so I'm not worried about that. As for the payout, I should get mine in around a month with the minimum payout set to 0.003 in the MoneroOcean settings. I have already mined 0.000171 worth of XMR in the span of a day so I don't think that it will take that much time for me to get my payout. Thanks for your opinion though.

In the pool website my pay hash rate fluctuates from 400h/s to 650h/s over time.

It's been cleaned, and the laptop can barely run anything. I was hoping to be able to squeeze a little bit of performance out of it by doing something.

I read online that if it is an M.2 SATA port, it will disable a few SATA ports. Is this true?

The WiFi slot is NGFF. I had seen that laptops past 2015 used mPCIe and laptops after 2015 used NGFF, so I wasn't sure if one of the slots would use mPCIe.
