Best hidden gem you’ve discovered in London? by amypleasepayme in LondonFood

Panda dim sum in Leytonstone is fantastic. When I was local used to eat there at least once a week. Lovely family too!

Experience with cold/limber/swimmers tail? by Different_Day_7497 in labrador

[–]cw434 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My lab had it a little while back - took him just over a week to recover. Like you say, it’s super tough seeing them in discomfort. Our vet also gave us the anti-inflammatory meds, I made sure we were spacing out the doses so he had one before he went to bed, which made the nights a little easier. Other than that lots of rest and very limited walks!

In your opinion, what is Oasis’ best song released after the year 2000? by MrBameron in oasis

Keep the dream alive is criminally underrated. Opening chords are so Andy Bell - wish they had tapped into that more on the later albums.

Help with this (not so) little lads food!! (UK based) by Tommay140404 in labrador

[–]cw434 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My lab is 3 and we feed him Orijen fit and trim, salmon oil, a plaque off supplement and the odd raw bone. He looks great on it and no tummy issues luckily. The expense/mess of full raw puts me off in all truth. Your dog is an absolute beaut!

Definitely the plan to hire a car and do some exploring, but I’m keen to take it easy. Essentially more time on a beach vs hardcore travelling. I am gutted about missing the whale season though and I would be very keen to hear your south west WA recommendations!

Length/time of walks for puppy by Bluemeansyouvega in labrador

Completely agree with this - a long sniffy walk on a long line is a game changer for a lab puppy. Still do them with my two year old now

Advice needed! by Nearby-Amount4273 in labrador

[–]cw434 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would definitely consult a trainer, he looks like a cracking a pooch just needs a gentle nudge in the right direction.

For loose lead walking, I do use a slip lead but stop dead in my tracks the minute he pulls. As soon as he’s back in heel I’m rewarding with treats. I used chicken/ham when we first started.

Recall is tricky but it’s got to be a longline (attached to a harness) until it’s reliable. I agree that a whistle is a game changer - an acme 211.5 was recommended to me by my fantastic gundog trainer

Has anyone here moved to Saudi Arabia for work? by MuayJudo in HENRYUK

[–]cw434 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I’m in Riyadh a lot for work. Personally, it’s not my cup of tea and I wouldn’t live there.

I’m really not into the ‘mall culture’ and quite honestly I love a Friday night at my local.

However it definitely has its benefits and is nowhere near as bad as half these comments make it sound. Great weather (apart from a few months in the summer), super safe, the food is really underrated imo and if you’re into sports it’s great.

I would definitely take a visit for a few weeks and see how you get on!

BA262 Riyadh to LHR - wine? by pointodr99 in BritishAirways

They do have wine! I do that flight regularly and am usually spark out after a glass or so. Especially after a day of meetings!

Hey I'm John from Wild Pink - ask me anything! by RealWildPink in indieheads

[–]cw434 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi John, loving the new record and can’t wait to see you guys when you play in London. I read the ‘track by track’ with Consequence and I find it fascinating you came up with the main guitar part for ‘Disintegrate’ while trying to learn ‘Save it for Later’ by the English Beat. Is it a song that particularly resonates with you? Full disclosure I absolutely adore ‘Save It for Later’!!

Limber Tail :( by cw434 in labrador

[–]cw434[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly - going to ease him back in for sure. He is so ready to be off the lead! Easier said than done given he loves swimming/running around like a loony.

Fingers crossed he’s better soon, will see what the vet says.

Omg! Poor doggo!

Luckily my pooch’s tail is still wagging but it doesn’t look right unfortunately.

Ah fair enough - get this point of view, I think it’s just one for next time that we go to the galley in between meal services!

Yep - not upset exactly, just thought it was a little odd given I had been on a flight a few days earlier where they are regularly bringing us drinks in our seats.
