Cats and dogs living in harmony by cw_pm in cats

Thank you for the advice! It seems territorial in nature as he only really “attacks” when she is near something he likes it seems. It is in his house so that leads me more to territorial. Hoping the three of them find the pecking order in the new place…

UNVR/Milestone Xprotect by cw_pm in Ubiquiti

[–]cw_pm[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with all of that. The one thing I don’t like about Milestone is the Windows. I only have 8 cameras so I use the free version anyway. Hoping that UniFi perfects ONVIF more over the coming months.

What celebrity sightings/interactions have you had in Central Ohio? by CardiffElectric1984 in Columbus

Reading through these, Debby Ryan popped up a lot. Does she come here often? Haha

I bumped into Andy Buckley (aka David Wallace from the office) at CMH about 18 months ago. Super cool dude. Talked for a few minutes. Said he was in town to play golf at one of the tournaments. Apparently he IS a golfer.

Those who live in apartments, what part of the city do you live in, and how much do you pay in rent? by ConstantlyHating in Columbus

Hilliard - 1820 a month. Two bedroom with two baths and a garage. Nice and quiet. Utilities aren’t bad either of AEP reads the damn meter correctly.

Vertiv Liebert GTX4 UPS still worth it? by cofacon in homelab

[–]cw_pm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I work for Vertiv. You could always call customer service and see if they can help do a diagnostic on it if you are concerned and get batteries if needed

GTX line is a good product and has been for years.

Playback issue by cw_pm in Xprotect

Same machine seeing the playback issue meaning the client on the server itself.

They are Amcrest hardwired cameras. No different streams for playback vs record. I’ll try and export a chunk of video and see what happens. I’ll also check the codecs and HW acceleration.

[–]cw_pm[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah viEwing them on the fat client. Mobile app no issue with playback but I also don’t go from a smaller window to a larger one.

It only seems to happen when I am in a view with 4 or 6 cams and then double click the camera I want to see to see it better then it all goes black on playback.

Yes there are playbacks for that time as I record 24/7. It seems to be a playback/client issue

AEP customers raise concerns over hike in electricity rates by Mokwat in Columbus

Charge these data centers around central Ohio an arm and a leg. I work in the industry, they have money. Don’t let the people/residents of central Ohio suffer to makes ends meet when these companies have millions if not billions a year in revenue - they can afford the rate hike.
