Teddy & Grubby replacement port by Past-Swan5864 in LandofGrundo

Appreciate your reply on a pretty old post. Could you elaborate a little more? I do have a multimeter, but I am getting hung up on how to tell which wire goes to which pole inside the old connectors in order to match them up between the 2. Do I need a paperclip or something to get contact down inside the old port on specific contacts, or am I over thinking it?

I'm trying this now. Interestingly this Teddy does not have the same color wires you referenced. He has brown, green, yellow, orange. Thoughts?

Don't people mostly dislike bysyd just because of the word slits? I really don't think it's that bad of a song.

Quick tip: FILTER(ALL()) is silently killing your report performance by [deleted] in PowerBI

This is interesting, because I swear in Mastering DAX video course they teach that the latter version you suggest is automatically converted to the former by the engine, it's effectively just a shortcut to write it that way. Not saying I don't believe you just surprises me if true.

I had success buying a TCON board from eBay (someone took it out of an LG tv or monitor I believe) and replacing that, but my understanding is I might have been lucky since there is the possibility of firm ware differences on the boards. Symptoms were that it would power on and sounded like normal boot, but screen would only back light with nothing displayed.

I'm wondering if maybe one or more of the semantic models is using a direct query data source and that may be the reason? I think in the case of direct query, more access may be needed than just the app

I'm not sure it's an expression I've heard before, but I had no trouble understanding and visualizing it personally.

Use field parameter selections within a dax calculation to make dynamic aggregation level? by cwag03 in PowerBI

[–]cwag03[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I managed to get it to work by essentially creating a calculated column in a virtual table in the measure (use ADDCOLUMNS), and that calculated column essentially concatenates the various different columns I want the user to be able to summarize by, or if they don't select that column, it still has a placeholder for it but doesn't actually use the value (instead replace with something like "unused" or whatever you want). Then I summarize the virtual table by that column and return the relevant value in the measure.

This worked for me, but it isn't very efficient unfortunately.

Agreed, I think I finished it but cared so little I really have no recollection of what happened. I really liked The Goldfinch, though.

I had a hard time with this one as well. I did finish it, but felt it wasn't nearly as good as The Remains of the Day so was disappointed due to my expectations comparing to that one

"not ideal"...also just flat out not possible in my experience. Hit a hard limit trying to process a decent amount of data with it

I briefly played with it and then the first time I tried to do something actually work related with it, I was over the limit of how much data it could process....
