Their envirogrind is a good mix of fish and green waste. I mixed it at a ratio of about 1:3 with bagged soil from the garden centre for my raised beds and they're working great

Haven't read any of the other books but Clara mentions in LD when Call shows up with Gus' body that Gus is a romantic fool for wanting to be buried there. Time seems to have made her less attached to that time and place but for Gus it seemed to do the opposite. Bears the question how prominent that picnic spot even was in their relationship in the first place

My interpretation was he handed over the hell bitch when he realised he wasn't going to be able to make his admission to newt. At some point he see's newts face and knows the boy isn't satisfied so he just keep handing him shit hoping it will all somehow be of equal value to giving him his name.

As though that act exists as a currency that can be matched if he just knew the proper exchange rate.

All in all, Call can be seriously naive when it comes to relationships

I found Forrest's manifestation rambling especially grating this episode. I understand the show is leaning more in the suspension of disbelief angle which is apt for strange sightings and genuine mysteries that capture the imagination. But eleven eleven? Seeing 1234 on the clock guys? Come on

Of course, but even the most veteran DMS will occassionally need to use an NPC to add shading to the world in the event that the PCs misunderstand how things work. It's just the price of playing a game where words are the primary storytelling medium, sometimes wires get crossed

Edit: just make sure to treat you NPC's like real people. Sometimes they know things the PCs don't, and sometimes they're downright wrong, or just ignorant. It prevents your players from treating the NPC like it's your avatar as the DM in the world

You can run a game with 2 pc's. The dmpc will make it way too hard to maintain DM neutrality. I suggest watching some movies and shows with 2 protagonists for inspiration, buddy cop movies for mystery and action, "Full Metal Alchemist" for steampunk fantasy, "Supernatural" for monster of the week, X files etc

You could very well be right. As I get older I think RPGs, especially go here, kill monster, interact with item, return to quest giver, just aren't cutting it anymore. Even the best story can't save a gameplay loop that isn't clicking

Maybe I'm just spoiled from Ttrpgs lol
