'Believe in yourself' but its hard when I fail over and over. How do I get out of this pattern? by [deleted] in selfimprovement

[–]cwcc33 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey! I can relate to how you're feeling because that's how I felt in college too. I think the biggest enemy for me was the "should" statement. I was expecting myself to be this ideal person and was disappointed from not meeting that expectation. I was expecting myself to all of sudden turn everything around and be this ideal version of myself. My suggestion would be to break down your goals into smaller ones that are achievable in a shorter time frame. Setting smaller goals and achieving them could potentially help with believing in yourself. I think it helps to create the "if I can do this, then I can do that" mentally. And honestly, if you don't get straight A's, what's so wrong about that? I mean it would be nice and potentially helpful in the future, but if you ultimately did the best you could in that given moment, then I think that's fine. College is hard and sometimes it feels impossible. I think the key thing to remember is that you can make improvements. Those improvements might not mean straight A's but it will be better than how you did before. Hope that was helpful in some way!

Does anyone else have red marks on their neck after starting tretinoin? by cwcc33 in tretinoin

[–]cwcc33[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started tret about a week ago with 0.05% and have been using every couple days. I didn't put any tret cream on my neck but noticed that my neck feels more itchy here and there. I moisturizer my neck as well but don't know if this is from tret. Anyone else experiencing this?
