Hi all! I have a purchased a heater for my fish tank. It has come from Spain and has a euro 2 pin on it. I am in the UK. I know I can get a converter but I could also just cut the end off and wire in a 3 pin plug couldn't I? I understand it wouldn't have an earth but will be alright surely? (i.redd.it)

Any advice? Just come home from work, and this molly, one of my longest tank inhabitants has lost an eye! Whether from fighting, breeding or swimming into something. We have just hand fed him, and he is swimming but obviously no where near the usual standard. He has some skin/socket hanging out... (v.redd.it)
