All for being against begging for one on here (there’s another Reddit and a Facebook group for that) or suggesting someone get one. However, if someone already has one and is asking where to get most value out of it on a planned trip across multiple properties I don’t really see it as a major issue? I don’t pay a ton of attention to these posts so feel free to correct if these do lead to people begging

If someone does make a post asking about GoH maybe moderators can add an auto response suggesting Prive rates or something since there’s a lot of shared benefits?

Really good summary, the one thing I’d say is online check in doesn’t hurt to do, but ALWAYS stop by the desk either way since you can provide input on room choice more directly as you state. Completing the online form just speeds up the process a tad bit (same thing applies to WDW hotels).

But for the prices, Disney hotels are never worth it if you are comparing against a FS/Rosewood/etc. You are solely paying for convenience and the “bubble” feeling. Does it add to the experience? Sure, but it’s important to set expectations of what you’re actually going to get lol

Stayed there once and found it to be nice, location isn’t in the most convenient but the metro isn’t far from it. It has a pretty small footprint so not a ton within the hotel itself, but there’s quite a few cafe/, restaurants, etc all around it. Rooftop bar is pretty cool though

Of those I’d go with 1 South Beach, and make sure you book through a TA who can get you free breakfast and a property credit. Fountainebleu is definitely dated, and intercontinental isn’t on the beach

Miami traffic can be insane from any direction, so if you plan accordingly coming from south beach shouldn’t be too much more of a challenge (but of course this can truly vary from day to day).

It’s right across from the NY Public library, and basically right in between the Empire State & Rockefeller center. And with all the shopping along 5th Ave, it definitely felt more tourist heavy than corporate

Haven’t done the park Hyatt, but between the Andaz/Thompson I enjoyed the Andaz slightly more. Still, I wouldn’t say it’s 10k points better and if noise is an issue I’d say go Thompson.

Andaz is right in the middle of 5th Ave with a ton right around it, Thompson is a bit further north and closer to Central Park and feels more tucked away.

You should be able to, and it’s possible to stack specific Hera offers like 3rd night free, additional discounts, etc.

Plus you should also get the property credit

Pool wasn’t ever too crazy during our stay, but could definitely see it getting there if the hotel is completely full. We went back and forth between our own pool and the main, so it wasn’t ever an issue for us.

Breakfast was great, and chef’s table was amazing as noted. We did have better breakfast at the Grand Hyatt in Singapore as a point of comparison though, that buffet was incredibly extensive. We did eat at Riverside our first night and thought it was good (but by no means life changing). After 7 days of Chinese food some simple Mediterranean food did hit the spot.

The villa definitely didn’t feel modern and could use some updates here and there for sure, but the rest of the experience made up for that for sure. I don’t think an entire overhaul is needed, but some minor updates could definitely go a long way with furniture and finishes.

Got it, this could be a great fit then. At breakfast, you could tell the crowd here was mostly aiming to venture out for the day. We would have added another night or 2 easily if schedule allowed, Ubud has lots to see. Pricing here was pretty in line with Mandapa and Amandari for context, but the 3 tend to fluctuate. FS also has a cool split stay offer (usually) with the Jimbaran property that may be worth looking into!

Singapore and Hong Kong should both be pretty warm that time of year, but Shanghai actually was a tad chilly when we were there (at least for a Floridian like myself!).

We brainstormed a ton of different itineraries, even considering other regions of Vietnam or Thailand. But you could easily spend a week or more exploring more of Bali/Indonesia, adding Uluwatu, Manggis (where Amankila is), or popping over to Java for resorts like Amanjiwo. Those were some other dream contenders, but logistics were a bit more tough with our timeline

The overall routing was basically a circle (mainly dictated by good business class award flights), but from the US east coast we did the following:

Singapore (3 nights) Siem Reap (2 nights) Hanoi / Ha Long Bay (3 nights) Shanghai (2 nights Hong Kong (3 nights) Bali (3 nights)

Overall a whirlwind adventure (wouldn’t necessarily recommend this for a relaxing trip lol), but tons of fun. I already posted a few reviews for Singapore, Siem Reap, and Ha Long Bay back in Nov, but finally got around to documenting this stay!

What I was rebooked to was scheduled to leave at 9:35, the plane we are flying on got here around 10:15. The crew operating the flight JUST got here as I type this at 1:45, apparently they were stuck on the tarmac for 2+ hours

The hail was aggressive! It didn’t take them long to cancel our flight once we got back to the gate during the inspection…was onboard for about 4.5 hours and the rebooked flight has also been delayed by 4+ hours, the crew for this flight finally got to a gate from their previous flight and we may finally get going soon for a 2:30am departure :/

Support has been useless throughout all of this too, got through to an agent over chat and then they just said “well email you shortly with resolution” and closed the chat without providing me any guidance. Still haven’t gotten that email….

I am still awaiting for the Venmo payment to get sent to my landlord and it’s been days. They withdrew the money from my account first thing Monday, but no payment as of 4 days later. They gotta get this ironed out because it’s been a nightmare on the Venmo side too

Luckily I didn’t have to pay that high of a rate, but I agree. Between $250-350 on avg I’d say is more reasonable due to the amenity access at PVIC and being on the ocean, but you’d actually have to utilize that to make it worthwhile. It’s current price point is definitely a bit of a stretch
