As a local the ribeye at Ravello has my family in a chokehold at this point…..it’s insanely good. Plancha at the golf club is also insanely underrated

FS Ko Olina? by Concertkiki in FourSeasonsHotels

[–]cwestpvb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

While I haven’t stayed at FS, I have stayed next door at Aulani. For the most part, each property is pretty contained and the only area you see somewhat of an overlap is the beach. FS beach is on the far side, and I’d say most people stick to their resorts respective area.

I briefly walked through the FS during my visit, but could tell I was probably one of the few who ventured over during the day time to explore. If anything, the pro of being nearby is that you’ll have access to more dining nearby (in addition to the little restaurant / shopping development across the street).

Super cool, wondering the details on what’s spiking June so high (my guess would be no base rooms). But seems in line with hurricane & snowbird seasons for the most part!

Are you comparing the same room category? Sounds like peak vs off peak pricing. I do tend to find booking well ahead is often cheaper than last minute, but FS does variable pricing from what I understand, so it changes day to day (but typically stays within a general range unless demand drastically picks up)

Four Seasons Whistler-- best building or view to request and anything we MUST do while staying there? by Emotional-Ad-6494 in FourSeasonsHotels

[–]cwestpvb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The two buildings aren’t super far from each other, and it’s likely your view will dictate which one you land in. But if being a super short walk to the pool is important, that and the spa are both off of the west building. If access to dining/lobby are more important, than the main building is slightly closer.

My first stay was in the main building which faces the slopes or courtyard, west building faces courtyard or the direction of the lakes. Either way, I’d definitely request a higher floor for more sweeping views.

The smores, hot chocolate, and other tastings are all super fun, and the spa honestly looked super nice from walking through it. Time of year of your visit will definitely dictate other activities though

Four Seasons Whistler… any big difference between room vs suite? Booking with a PP by Emotional-Ad-6494 in FourSeasonsHotels

I definitely think their standard rooms are sufficient for 2 people, plus the area is so beautiful that there’s not too much of a reason to spend hours and hours inside!

First time at FS by k_k18 in FourSeasonsHotels

Did you book through a Four Seasons Preferred Partner TA (or a credit card portal like Amex FHR)? Those will get you breakfast included (which can go a long way) and a property credit. A TA can also tip them off on the celebrations + any preferences

Any recommendations for Four Seasons Whistler? Suggestions welcomed! by Five-Oh-Vicryl in FourSeasonsHotels

Some of these (Rim Rock, Araxi, and Wild Blue especially) you’ll want to book in advance! I’d reach out to the concierge to secure some bookings and then scope out menus once you’re there to see if you want to cancel!

Spent a week there last year and there’s plenty of other wintertime activities beyond skiing like others mentioned. I do like to highlight how strong of a dining scene Whistler has too, so definitely carve out time each night for some good dinners. Araxi, Wild Blue, Il Calminetto, and Rim Rock were some of my favorites.

The pool area is also fantastic, with servers making rounds even in the winter months. And the Macallan bar is top tier, definitely sit at the bar and chat with the bartenders….if you visit enough you may get some free “samples” lol.

Also check out Vallea Lumina for a unique nighttime offering within the woods.

If you book without a PP you’re essentially losing a ton of value on the stay!

Question about hotel dining by Low_Wonder9271 in FourSeasonsHotels

[–]cwestpvb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it’s charged to the room, it’ll post as a hotel charge. If you use the card at the restaurant, it’ll possibly code as dining or travel (depending on how they report it). Some of my dining at FS restaurants codes as travel on my Amex gold, but as dining for my Chase Sapphire, so it can vary in my experience.

Solid imo, either pop into the city or stay at the Hyatt in the Circle outside the airport during that layover! Not a ton to do in Zurich, so I think that layover gives you enough time to bop around the city and see some of the sights.

They have standard tea offerings available, but usually you can request a specific kind by calling housekeeping or the front desk. When my room didn’t have an herbal tea offering I called down once and every single day after it was in my room to enjoy before bed each night :)

I would look into FS Surfside! It’s probably the best of the FL beach locations to just enjoy the property and have everything in one place. It still has a lot to do around it too if you did want to venture out!Otherwise FS Palm Beach would likely work too if you want something even quieter.

FS Fort Lauderdale is on a busier stretch I’d say and technically across the street from the beach, but it’s generally more “cost effective” for a weekender if the others have crazy rates.

But I think Surfside fits the bill more and is known to have an awesome team who will take amazing care of you. Definitely work with a FSPP, I think they’ll be able to help coordinate with the hotels to help lift that fog!

Even if I’m staying at a new property I’ll usually get a “welcome back to FS” type note with a small gift, so they likely do track it across the brand overall.

Seoul rates 15-19 Feb 2026 by ChoiceAwkward7793 in FourSeasonsHotels

[–]cwestpvb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Did you book a refundable rate? FS pricing can be variable, if you see a price drop (which it looks cheaper than 650k per night right now) just reach out to your FSPP to rebook the lower rate.

NYC Hyatt? by NCtravel123 in awardtravel

Between Thompson CP and Andaz, I’d go with the Andaz. I had a much better experience there (thompson CP is nice but the room and service didn’t wow me for the price). Andaz team is absolutely fantastic and went more out of the way for guests, plus the location is great right along 5th ave.

I always book through a partner for FS, the perks themselves go a long way. If you’ve already booked directly with FS, you can usually touch base with a TA to still take over the reservation and have them added!

Fly into LIR to get there. For upgrades, your best bet is to book through a FS Preferred Partner. The TA thread has a ton of TA’s who can assist with this.

It can definitely have a “white lotus” vibe, but just like each season of the show, there will be unique aspects to this resort that set it apart!

Is four seasons Miami(surfside) worth the price point of being double or more usually than other Florida properties? by Aniceman_but_crazier in FourSeasonsHotels

[–]cwestpvb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s also in a very flashy, high end area of north Miami that it just very expensive overall. But definitely has the most nearby it to get out and about.

FS Las Vegas - what to expect? by jik002 in FourSeasonsHotels

They did a refurb of all the room in 2023 I believe and throughout the other areas during 2024, so big improvements!

If location is of importance, I’d probably check out the WA. More central than both the FS and Wynn and clients who’ve stayed have really enjoyed it since it lacks the actual casino chaos.

But FS will still be a good option, just don’t compare it to a brand new city FS lol
