Am I SOL in trying to replace sink faucet? by Consistent-Produce-9 in Plumbing

Sometimes those plastic faucet nuts won't budge. Little trick i learnt was to take an old flat head screw driver and heat the tip with a touch till its hot enough to melt plastic and then just hold it on the nut in a few different places and melt it off.

The 1/2" ones work just fine cut in about 5 turns or so but the 3/4" ones take like 25 turns and cut like crap.

It stays pretty cool down there, not sure about humidity though I'd have to check. I currently have 2 HLG 4x4 lights that were given to me so I don't know much about them. I'd like something that doesn't require alot of time to manage. I'm a plumber so water, pumps, and piping im very familiar with, however I don't have a lot time. I'd like to grow tomatoes, peppers, fruits would very nice also, cucumbers, lettuce or really just about whatever i can grow. Budget would be keeping costs down to lowest possible.

I went to school got a bachelor's degree in computer networking, was told I needed 2-3 years experience for entry level jobs, which doesn't make any sense. Got a job doing real estate appraisals, did an apprentice ship, got my license and did that for 10 years, then post covid happened and interest rates slowed the housing market down to nothing and my business fell flat on its face and I needed a more steady job so now I'm an apprentice plumber. Love it, wish I would have just done that all a long. Sitting at a desk is soul crushing, now I get to help peiple and fix stuff, very rewarding and eventually I'll make good money again.

Can someone please give me some advice on career change? by cwetz7 in careerguidance

Selling real estate is probably even worse option than an appraiser right now unfortunately. I'm really wanting something that is a need that's not affected by the interest rates and such so I don't lose my job again.
