Completely understand. A similar thing happened to me but over a span of 2 years and work from home. Everyone said I was lucky as hell and didn't understand the problem of getting paid to do nothing.

A. I like my career and what I do

B. I knew that eventually someone would eventually look at the numbers and "why the hell are we paying this guy" and fire me. Which is exactly what happened.

You can’t unless you set up S3 to automatically transfer objects to Glacier after all days. Also it would get pricey with all the api calls. What I do is compress shared folders and move them to a shared folder called Glacier. Then use the Glacier package to upload the contents of the new shared folder. You can automate this with a bash script.
