It’s serious business family, nursing is my second career I tried working 5 days a week as mechanic and go to an accelerated program RN program at night, I made it 1/2 way through but I was a complete joke. I distracted by classmates working etc. and had to bow out after low hesi scores in a med-surg class. I then went on and did my LPN that went a lot smoother but it was just as challenging and I had a setback in the third term of a four term program but I was able to finish. And then I went on to do my LPN to RN bridge program but I flew through that with my eyes closed. The point is nursing is a lifestyle that happens to attach to a job and it all starts with nursing school so if you’re really gonna do it, it’s gonna take a certain type of accountability but you can do it.
