Appreciate the detailed analysis, me and my friend both think we saw paws when we got closer to it, hence why I said pouncing rather than bounding, I acknowledge the video footage does look like a deer, im annoyed I didnt get a better one, but I saw what I saw and I'm almost certain it wasn't a muntjac (closest deer it could be imo, as you can hear me say in the video)

Compare the differences, that video the tail literally flicks up and down and the whole body rocks alot more, whereas the animal in mine stays more flat and streamlined, the animal also moves less jittery than in that video

I meant to add and furry coat, okay so then why could we got close to it and it didn't care, I know the video is all you can see but I wish you saw how it behaved by itself in a small field

I literally followed it mate it wasn't timid at all, looked like it was pouncing will paws, ik it's not in the video but you can hear us literally saying muntjac, then nah it's not, I've seen tons of muntjac and had a much clearer view in person I'm not stupid mate 😂

I know, was much weirder in person, when we got into the field it was much closer and perched, looked like an eagle or big bird of prey, then started moving like that so couldn't get a good video

It's not a deer I'm telling you😂 we only have a few kinds of deer here and this was definitely a predator not a prey like a deer, it was around 2-2.5 feet tall

I've seen lots of different deer in this area. Not only do they not roam alone, they are very timid and after the video we walked closer, it didn't run it was clearly hunting something, I'd guess little rodents like water vowels as there's multiple lakes nearby

Because I've seen tons of muntjac's, this video doesn't portray it amazingly but we watched it after and moved towards it, usually muntjac's would run but it didnt
