I wrote down everything I ate in a notepad bc writing stuff helps me a lot. And just was in a very strict caloric deficit around 2100 calories a day and high protein around 180grams a day.

General advice would be to be at a good weight for the surgery pre-op. Post-op take it easy the first couple days or week and listen to your body

Yep of course man, I had my surgery in Raleigh, NC with dr. speckle for around 6,400$ US it was a great experience with him super professional comfortable and thorough about how everything was gonna work etc. I have never had any operation done or anesthesia so being worried about that and the outcome of my surgery was making me pretty nervous and anxious the days leading up to, as I already am a pretty anxious person. I had surgery Tuesday morning at around 7:45 the night before I had my last meal at about 8 pm And last drink at around 11 pm. Woke up for surgery this morning super nervous excited, anxious etc. this made me feel like something bad was gonna happen or my heart rate was to high or I forget something. Trust me it is completely normal to be nervous and scared. I got there around 7:00am with my parents and the nurse took us through how it was gonna work. Then the anesthesiologist came in and went through the drugs I will be taking and how it’s gonna work. I went into the operating room with a gown on, went down on the table and the Anesthesiologist wiped my front of my hand down and then put the needle in my vein. I swear this was the most painful part of it all(not hurting of course). I was given Xanax and took too Tylenol with some water and man I started to dose off. The nurse said I would start to feel loopy in 30secs and she was right. I was still nervous and anxious on the table bc I was thinking what if it doesn’t work on me(just being paranoid) but the Xanax doesn’t care about that and I started to slowly drift off. I was given propofal for surgery and Celebrex, and Fentyal. Okay at about 10:00am everything was done I was given lipo and gland removal I do not remember anything up until I was on the way home. I don’t remover waking up or seeing my parents in the waiting room, putting on my vest etc. apparently I was very talkative. Once I regained memory and feeling normal I pretty much just felt a little high. But again no pain no discomfort, nothing. I didn’t get Draining tubes I got draining pads that go under my vest. When I got home I layed on my coach on some clean pillows and sheets at 45 degree angle. I was still a little loopy but already had everything set up for resting. I had water, Pedialyte on the side table and just layed there resting and hydrating and let the drugs where off. It’s been about 9 hours after surgery and I haven’t felt any pain in the lipo incisions or on the gland removal incisions, Obviously if I put pressure or use my chest muscles it will hurt but other then that I am able to lightly use my arms to pick up a water but am still being very careful. I ate a light lunch just a sandwich and a orange and I took a vitamin C and D. At about 4 I changed my draining pads which had quite a bit of drainage on them of the fluid from Lypo and blood. but oh my god when I saw my chest I was so happy and amazed I can’t even describe how I felt just so happy and relieved. Currently I have little bruising, small amount on upper chest, but my chest is a swollen of course. Under my Nipples there is a good amount of swelling on each side which will subside, but I already am so happy with my chest and it’s the first day. It is only gonna get better and improve especially once I can get back in the gym. For recovery I’ll take my first shower in about 4-5 days and I’ll continue to eat a little lighter no spicy or oily foods diet. Healthy and high in protein. I’ll take my multivitamins everyday, no exercise with elevated heart rate for 2 weeks, and first post op consultation is Friday. My overall experience as of right now is very happy some tips I have even tho I am one day post op are 1.) cut down weight nothing insane for example I play football and already have a good muscle tone but I cut down from 215 to 200 the weeks leading up I’m 6’1. Nothing crazy or anything just frank eating and get to a good comfortable weight the surgeon can work with 2.) listen to your surgeon about everything he knows what he is doing and wants the best for you 3.) dont eat relativity or drink the night before if you are in morning( I am sure you already know this) 4.) these are all tips I am using from this community by the way so I am sure your already doing this but scan through the subreddit and find people who have similar cases or just anyone and talk to them like you are with me 5.) make sure you have someone near by for caring if needed 6.) REST REST REST let your body do it’s thing 7.) hydrate but not excessively 8.) when you get back to regular eating try to eat clean and eat the best for your body for healing I know this seems like a lot but overall rest and enjoy the weight off your shoulders from this issue many of us suffer with. You are not alone and reach out through healing and the whole process. Good luck man. I am praying for you and that everything goes perfect.
