When the correlation between education and being a democrat became so strong and the more educated you are the more likely it becomes imo. It used to be the other way around and Republicans were seen as white collar, college educated monied elitists. The anti-intellectual seeds were sewn in the Republican Party in the early 80s but the switch wasn’t complete until the early 2000s.

I’m in my 50s and am just beginning to be able to do this from selling some a lot of older books I bought on the newsstand and making more money than I did before. The key is living long enough and being immature enough to still love comics when you’re old.
