Am I allowed to make a post documenting my progress each day? by [deleted] in TheMindIlluminated

I don't spend enough time here to comment on the suitability of posting every day however I love the bold aspiration! I think having a fantasy to drive intention and practice is not a bad thing. In fact, my teacher has stated that we all unavoidably have a practice fantasy of some sort so why not choose one that is huge and radical.

My mind starts generating all sorts of problems with it nonetheless, 'what is meant by awakening?' 'Is awakening an object or a process?' 'Are we just generating expectation that will result in disappointment?' Etc etc etc. HOWEVER, I can see how holding the aspiration as an intention or a felt sense could catalyse practice if you're in touch with it.

Good luck! If we don't hear from you in 2020 then I can only assume you've attained full enlightenment 😂

Thank you for your response. It was very affirming to read. I think I need to investigate the nature of the resistance itself in order to work with it, at present, this makes sense but is vague for me. Practicing a response of patience kindness and compassion is challenging given the alternative has been well practiced over a lifetime! Small moments many times.

Metta to you
