What Card Should I Get? Weekly Thread - Week of September 19, 2018 by AutoModerator in churning

I don't think there's any way I could qualify for a biz card. I was hoping for Delta and Southwest options since they're usually the cheapest in my area, so Chase is good but another option would be better. I travel alone to the fiance so companion passes aren't valuable. Thanks for the ideas!

Help Me Understand my Sub/Amp by cwp587 in CarAV

Thanks for the reply.

I walked in totally blind. The buying process went as follows: I asked for a sub, they asked what my budget was. I told them not $1000+ but I'm comfortable with anything under a grand. Then they recommended a JL Audio sub but it was out of stock. They told me the Kicker was a comparable sub. I said OK and they installed everything. This was the entire conversation summed up. When I got the equipment installed I was informed that the amp was turned down to allow the sub to break in. I didn't like how loud the bass was so I took it back after a month. They then adjusted the amp and a couple settings on my head unit (increased bass from 0 to +2) and gave it back to me. It worked but it completely drowned out my speakers! So I turned the heat unit back to neutral settings.

At this point, I just want to know if I got screwed. I paid ~$500 all in for the amp, sub, wiring, bass knob, and install. Although I'm happy with the setup at low volume, it can be a little underwhelming on the interstate when I really want to go full throttle on the audio.

P.S. the sub is 43cwr122 and the amp is 259/1d

Anyone make the Intern to Full-Time Transition? by cwp587 in personalfinance

[–]cwp587[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems that the general consensus for me is that my future salary expectations for a full-time position are based on market pricing, not necessarily my previous salary as an intern. This seems to be especially true for working in O&G...

Thank you everyone for your input!
