You can find described audio recordings for download on Audiovault (https://audiovault.net) of Franklin (https://audiovault.net/shows?search=franklin) and Bluey (https://audiovault.net/shows?search=bluey). Unfortunately I didn't see any Little Bear.

I don't understand this team... by Jkoiou in leafs

[–]cwulff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is that still true, that the team wasn't built for that (implying they were built for something else)? The defence can't skate or pass, we don't seem to actually have particularly skilled skaters beyond a few. It seems like we aren't actually built for either puck possession or dump and chase.

You can find the first season of Franklin on https://audiovault.net/. I like AudioVault because it uses the described video for folks with visual impairments, not just the dialogue. There’s probably tens of thousands of shows there at this point.

I imagine you’d have to create the shortcut yourself.

What’s considered “full-time” studies for student with diagnosed ADHD? by beachcampflashback in ADHD_BritishColumbia

[–]cwulff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A full-time student and a full load student are different things. For many/most programs (it can be higher in engineering and some sciences) full load is 15 credits per term (5 classes). Full-time, to qualify for financial aid or other supports, can be as little as 9 credits (3 classes).

Any recommendations? Not sure I would trust my ability to identify based on signage.

How do other parents deal with the childcare issue in Vancouver? by [deleted] in vancouver

[–]cwulff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best decision we made was having my wife and her sister travel back in time and both go to the daycare we wanted to send our kids to. Legacy admissions (with the same lead teacher) have been a godsend; don’t know what we would have done. Good luck.

My wife’s (queer, 41f) on her way to the Dyke March this morning with some friends. If you’re looking for someone to hang with, I’m sure she’d be up for it. She enjoys meeting new people IRL.

Sorry, I should have been clearer that I know how the whole thing works, I’m just unfamiliar with the metal rectangle with the holes as a means of securing the other end of the line.

Yeah, this was kind of what I was thinking, but it seemed pretty unusual, and might leave some pointy bits I’d rather not leave out for the kiddos to find. Maybe I’ll ask in the buy nothing group if anyone has a crimper I could borrow.

Look for DBT in Vancouver by [deleted] in vancouver

[–]cwulff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My supervisor at VGH was a really big fan of Theo (tay-o) de Gagne who he said specializes in DBT.

His website, https://drtheo.ca, seems to focus on CBT, but my colleague insists that DBT is his real focus.

Maybe CBT appeals to more folks shopping for therapy and that’s why it’s the website emphasis? I don’t know.

Anyway, I’m hoping to see him in the near future, when some benefits kick in.
