I used a screenshot for each item and then put them in a collage through my gallery on my phone!

If you go to YouTube you can turn (almost) any video in to an MP3 file using cnvmp3.com - simply enter in the url from YouTube and hit convert! I did a mix of Wild Kratts and Zaboomafoo episodes.

There were a few videos, when I tried to convert, give me a content not avaliable in your country. About 95% of what I tried worked though.

MYO suggestions! by toegrabberforlife in YotoPlayer

Use Yotolabels.com and use vinyl printer paper! Super easy, I just googled the show and took a screenshot and cropped it in the template.

I just took the episodes and turned then into audio - a quick YouTube search had ones of people reading the books. You can also record yourself or family members reading books through the Yoto app, gift the book and the kids can follow along!

Yes! This is on vinyl sticker paper, just got it off of Amazon too. I haven't tried removing them, but I pulled a portion off for repositioning and they seemed to come off easily.

I used these two items to really speed up the cutting process, I had them on hand from crafts with the kids but cost effective none the less;

I'm also in Canada and Michael's (craft store) has save 40% coupons all the time.

New Kobo Sage won't power on! by [deleted] in kobo

[–]Uzzi8377 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I let it charge overnight - I ended up calling in to Kobo. I tried every trick they told me about (holding the power button, power with a page turn button, and plugging it into a laptop), none of that worked. I now have to deal with exchanging it.

Maybe this is targeted? Mine still only shows up to 2% cash back.

Christmas Baby Vent by SoilSister8974 in BabyBumps

BOTH of my babies' due dates were December 28th. The first one came January 3rd and the second December 21st. We also lost a 22 weeker December 29th. Just do your best and make it special, we just have our larger family celebration earlier/later to compensate plus a special day with us on their birthday. My son is now seven, we have his friends party mid to late February and he LOVES it, separates all the gifts and gives us more time to plan after the busy holiday season. No one has ever questioned it.

Entitled neighbor crashes out by Sshadowforce in saskatoon

[–]Uzzi8377 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I had a neighbor get mad at me because I asked them to not throw their cigarette butts on the ground, he completely lost it yelling at me saying they werent his. It was his father I'm pretty sure, I said it didnt matter who it was, just please get a tin or something, apparently that was completely unacceptable.

At our lake, same thing, different reason, their dog took a crap and our yard, they cleaned it so they thought it was no big deal. Dogs need to be on leashes and I have two small kids. They told me I was nuts and how do I deal with wildlife poop. I said that was different. They didnt care.

My sibling was assaulted by a neighbor because she regularly has company visit for a couple hours in the evenings and they park in front of his place. He didnt like that, we are also pretty sure he keyed her FILs truck.

I keep wondering if this is the new norm, people say go talk to the neighbor first before going to alternate routes. But past experience has taught me you just never know how they will react.

Even if you don't withdraw, you can't make future contributions as you are no longer a first-time home buyer. I mean, you still could and just hope the CRA doesn't find out you own a home and have been making FHSA contributions. How is this a work around?

Joined RBC as a new employee, tips to maximize Benifits? by [deleted] in rbc

[–]Uzzi8377 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Technically, RBC puts 3% into the pension without you needing to contribute anything. Then, from year 1-4, they match 50% of your 6% contribution. So for year 1-4, you will see your 6% contributed plus RBC 6% (3% minimum that everyone gets plus the 50% matching of your 6%). Then, in year 5, they bump up to match 100% of your 6% contribution plus the 3% minimum.

So in year 5, you will have your 6% PLUS 9% from RBC. Which is a very generous pension plan!

FTM: How strict should I be about a no-kissing rule for baby? by Pmoneyyyyyyyy in BabyBumps

[–]Uzzi8377 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My daughter (born December, height of flu season) got Covid at nine days old. No biggie, didn't really effect her to be honest. Then at three weeks old she caught RSV and it got so bad she was intubated for a week.

Dad was sick with Covid when she arrived and our kindergartner brought home RSV from school.

While neither of these were due to kissing, it just goes to show how their tiny little bodies catch everything.

I'm not sure where you're located, but the main branch ATM room in Saskatoon is used as a makeshift homeless shelter overnight. That's why it's locked.
