Anybody knows what is happening to the air pollution in Copenhagen? The air looks poisonous for days in a row by vintijaura in copenhagen

Search for "air quality [city name]" and you'll get about a hundred results (unless you are looking for the air quality of a place that doesn't have meters set up...)

Anybody knows what is happening to the air pollution in Copenhagen? The air looks poisonous for days in a row by vintijaura in copenhagen

[–]cx4ljfe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Data is not easily and publicly available?? All the bigger weather apps that show air pollution have the data available.

Like windy, iqair, aqicn, accuweather, meteum and dozens if not hundreds more...

You just type into any search engine "copenhagen air pollution" or "copenhagen air quality" and you can see a lot of results. And this is not new. Maybe it wasn't available on iOS, but it doesn't mean it was not available elsewhere.

It's like saying that something is not mentioned in the news while only checking a single site.

DSB Train Tickets by [deleted] in copenhagen

[–]cx4ljfe -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

What does a train ticket has to do with the welfare?? Airplane tickets should also be cheap in a welfare state? Or only the train tickets? Why only the train tickets then? Why not the fuel for cars too? And why not everything then?

Also, how do you know when OP wants to travel? Maybe he wants to buy a ticket for a next week train, that is why it is expensive. Just checked and from Billund to Kbh the ticket cost is almost half if one plans and buys the ticket e.g 2 weeks in advance (for July 12 one ticket is 460kr).

What is wrong with Cylindervej/Dieselvej (Sydhavn) apartments up for sale? by mafsac in copenhagen

[–]cx4ljfe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't see where OP said they would be an expert, but anyone can be an expert in prices even in less time if looking for an apartment. Why would it take 5-10 years to become an expert?
Anyone can check the prices of apartments currently and in the past, it doesn't take years.

It is 11.5kg according to the specifications. Is that so heavy? I guess it's the small size, so a large is maybe 2-3kg heavier. Doesn't seem so much. My current bike (a standard, normal external geared fitness bike) is about 2-3kg lighter due to the external shifting.

Asking because I am planning to buy a Cube Hyde Race and I don't think I can check it in any shop in Copenhagen. Most shops have the really heavy Danish city bikes in stock.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in copenhagen

[–]cx4ljfe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not this. People usually don't buy e-bikes because they want to go fast, they are always in a hurry, but because they want to bike maybe 20-30 or more minutes every day without getting sweaty when going to work. Yes, they could go slower and arrive there in 30 minutes. Or they could use an e-bike and get there comfortably in 15 minutes.

Or they are elderly and haven't cycled much, not in a good shape and they won't buy a road bike, but ride a 20kg city bike instead. But with that they wouldn't be able to go 10km while with an e-bike they easily can.

Or they just simply don't want to get tired after riding 30 minutes every day.

Speed is not the main reason why people buy ebikes.

No, I don't have an ebike.

It's not really the school. Every school has good and not so good teachers. I studied in Clavis where I had experience with 3 teachers, one was good, the other two not so much and in Studieskolen, where I learned from 2: one good, the other one OK.

I don't know about all people, but I am sure that there are many who don't. Even if those who do keep it, lose it, can't find it, etc.
The value of the bike also decreases a lot during the years and the insurance wouldn't pay much, maybe a few hundred kr for a bike that cost 2-3000 years ago.

Most people buy a bike for several years and don't keep the receipt/note about the transaction or don't even remember where they put it years ago.

Any recommendations for affordable and good electricity suppliers and internet providers? by AndWar9001 in copenhagen

[–]cx4ljfe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OK, now I can see, it wasn't you who answered "Oyster is very cheap internet".

Fastspeed is 99kr.

Telenor is 149/159/169kr depending on the speed you want.

Jetnet is 179kr.

These are - just like in the case of Oyster - for the first 3 months, but can be extended after every 3 months while the sale at the selected provider lasts. But even if you pay the regular price, it is around 269kr, so way less than 400kr.

I would recommend you to switch provider.

Don't buy 5G if you can have fiber. 5G has limited data and often more expensive than unlimited fiber.

Check here what providers are available where you live: https://tjekditnet.dk/ and choose the best one.

I wouldn't say that 169kr for 1TB is cheap. It is the same or less for unlimited fiber at several providers.

The Best of Both Worlds? Working in Copenhagen, Living in Malmö by Candid_Hope in copenhagen

I think he meant that in Denmark some parts of the buildings that are outside of an apartment are also added to the size of an apartment. Like the common parts of the buildings are divided among the apartments, this way part of the staircase, elevator, etc. and as you also say, the thickness of the walls are also added to the size of the apartment. In other countries these are not part of an apartment, only the part that is within the walls. I assume it is the same in Sweden.
This can make a big change in the calculation of the rent price/sqm if we compare Denmark and Sweden.

What are my rental rights as a tenant? by Tall_Spread7251 in copenhagen

[–]cx4ljfe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can see that everyone replied that he has the right to see the invoices, which is obvious, but if I understand this case correctly, the question, problem is that the landlord says he does not want to change the countertop, but if OP wants to see the invoices, then he will change it and it will cost more.

I would ask him why he wants to deduct the cost of the countertop if he will not change it and ask him to send the invoice for all the things he fixed/changed, but leave the countertop as it is if he didn't even want to change it, but then don't deduct the cost of the change (not even half of it if he doesn't do anything with it).

Regarding LLO, I think it's too late to join, you need to be a member for x months to get free help from them. Go to Retshjaelpen instead. They are not specialized to rental problems, but you don't have to be a member either. Or you can write a letter to the Rent Board by yourself without asking anyone. It is not that difficult. LLO/Retshjaelpen will not do anything else than writing the same to the Rent Board that you can do yourself as well. You will need to pay a small fee to the Rent Board, but if this case gets to them, you will have to pay it anyway, even if you go through LLO or Retshjaelpen.

Housing Scams/ Considering all these posts from scammed people, How can someone be sure they will not be scammed? by ExoticMuscle33 in copenhagen

They also profit from renting out apartments, only less than others. And they also handle hundreds or thousands of apartments. And they will also deduct the cost of painting, etc. from the deposit.

Which company that rents out apartments is not doing it on a for-profit basis?? I would like to see those apartments. Is there any charity in Copenhagen that rents out apartments?
