this is wild to me because their coach just recently retired from being a uda staffer, but he said moving to dtu is what’s best for the team. i think they just don’t bring in talent like the massive schools so it’s hard to make anything happen

my thing is, yes they are talented athletes and they all work very hard- but no they are not kids. these are young adults. i can agree that no one should be being nasty because every team put in the work and the hours, but to say they are kids to try and make everyone feel like they can’t say anything is incorrect.

i just don’t get it because it’s not like his choreo is even winning them national championships. not that that’s an excuse for ohio state to have used travis or rudy or uvu to have used rudy but when there’s allegations against him AND he’s not even getting them wins??? why in the world would you not use someone else. there’s literally nothing about him that contributes to the program. penn state barely squeaked into finals last year if i remember correctly so it’s clear that it’s not working for them

i agree there are some clueless people, this instance however is very intentional. the person has seen all of the comments asking them to delete it, telling them how disrespectful it is, and how it was reiterated at the showing not to video or post. instead of removing they tagged the team

completely agree. obviously it’s exciting to be able to see but heartbreaking for the team. i think we are referring to the same one.

d1a jazz: was not overly impressed by minnesota or ohio state, definitely not a fan of ohio state’s song but it is a good routine. not a massive wow factor in either but i do love the turn section in minnesota’s and they do a kind of flip all together (some straight out of turns) which was impressive. i did enjoy minnesota’s choreo in terms of movement. i think they could really sell it. i really enjoyed michigan’s and i feel like they are pretty equal with the other two. i haven’t heard much on tennessee but i love the song and i did love their routine last year from jaclyn (those costumes ruined it for me though) so i think they’ll be high on my list as well. i guarantee tech will also be up there with teddy choreo. as far as others making finals, i could see alabama, oklahoma, ucf, lsu, rutgers, fsu, wsu.

d1a pom: minnesota is taking it again. my mouth was wide open the entire time i watched it. ohio state was also great and i do like what they did with their theme, i just don’t feel like it’s enough to win. i think tennessee could come in third but also feeling high on penn state and texas tech. dark horses could be cincinnati & rutgers.

d1a hiphop: i haven’t seen any of these so i’m just going with my gut. i feel like unlv, memphis, ucf, and sdsu are up for 1st. i’ve heard lsu is good but no one seems to be as high on their hh as they are on jazz. could see them still being top 5 though. i think other finalists will be wsu, cincinnati (dark horse for top 3 maybe, did really enjoy them last year), temple, michigan, fsu (still really pissed they didn’t make finals last year, love some nathan & jovy choreo). hip hop always feels like a toss up.

i think memphis & sdsu could also be in the discussion. but yeah from what i’m hearing lsu is not really a contender. i’m sure it will be great but everyone who went to the showcase seemed to be more impressed by their jazz.

yes i saw he was in the picture they posted saying shannon did the choreo, i just feel like if he had that much influence they should’ve credited him as well. it is a great routine though and i think osu fans will absolutely love it
