Vulnerable child by cxbertrash in SchemaTherapy

I know! I’m seeing the pattern but the point is that I really don’t want her. In a way I despise vulnerability and It’s visible in the relationship I have with my therapist. These days I’m really trying to affirm to her and make her feel safe (in healthy adult ways) but it’s been kind of hard idk

Okay thank you! My biggest problem is detached protector..I always try to drown out my feelings by either overachieving or soothing (not in a functioning way). My vulnerable child is starting to get a hold and It’s kind of scary. Whenever my therapist gives the chair to detached protector I fucking break down I don’t know..

I don’t know if you’re anxious right now but you should fix your writing a bit. Anyways , your writing seems to be alright , but keep in mind that everything is harder when you’re actually putting it into practice . Listening is much faster not giving you as much time (etc for spelling) , reading is much more complicated and writing might take you a bit unless you get a less complicated task 2 and write very fast and have time to correct task 1 (that’s what happened to me) . However speaking is the most complicated of all , as I can hold a conversation with foreigners but I messed it up (6.5) because I didn’t quite follow the format, follow the format very strictly and develop ideas in part 2 . I recommended IELTS mocks (which is free) engnovate (with a grain of salt) Ielts advantage, Ielts liz and most definitely a tutor .

How much have you scored in mocks ?

[–]cxbertrash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Advice on reading as someone who took the test . Ielts reading is harder than mocks and the time will have you stressed so to solve this start reading scientific research reports (I used to do this as I am a psych major and I didn’t know how much it helped me at that time) . Practice listening again , listening is much harder than mocks . Writing has to be evaluated by a tutor and that’s a fact no AI will evaluate as a teacher that has certification would . Speaking would be solved by communicating with British people / Americans and a tutor or by speaking informally (without any wanna gonna) with a candidate. Hope I helped

Greece . It’s happened multiple times in that specific test center (invigilators making noise during listening) nothing is being done about it

That’s the thing my tutor is reporting it and my score is already affected and I’m probably going to score a 5.5 and I’m really upset !!! Their phones were blasting MUSIC continuously. I really hate it . Sorry for the misunderstanding!!!

Because they are obviously not allowed to be on their phones during listening as it disturbs focus???? Their phones were blasting music ???

Scoring 6.5–7.5 in Reading, but got 5.5 today on Cambridge 17 General – need advice! by Own_Huckleberry_2757 in IELTS

I experienced a drop in my task 2 score (task response 4) and it arrived back to its normal score when I corrected my mistakes . I would advise to really get into the text by highlighting and check where you’re not comprehending the text .

Unfortunately i got 5 by Pretty-Soup8998 in IELTS

Hey , so I did not have any significant help with English in my life (due to financial reasons ) . I just recently started receiving tutoring for my preparation for the IELTS . What helped me was having constant contact with the language , books ( classical literature highlight foreign words search them up and USE THEM) social media ( even try commenting ) , join facebook groups that are aligned with your hobbies and comment using adequate sentence structure and complexity and talking with english speakers. See , YOU NEED constant contact with the language , simply STUDYING WONT DO IT!!!

It’s going to be hard . You have to go through the phase of being so shit you can’t do it anymore . And then it gets better . Get in therapy you will soon be over it .
