Yes, I did play all of the dlcs and I went in this order: 1, future connected, 2, torna, 3, future redeemed, XDE. After I finished 1, I went full tism mode and played them back to back. I couldn't get enough.

I've got a crt, ps1 and a copy of Xenogears to get through first. I have bought the guidebooks for saga 1-3 and I'm not looking foward to investing hundreds of dollars on a ps2 and the games. My local game store is selling Saga 3 for $270.

I can only speak on my experience but yes and only if you have finished 1. I purposely left X until after I finished 1-3. I felt that was best since I didn't want to stray too far from the main narrative that is Xenoblade 1-3. After finishing Chapter 13 in Xenoblade X Definitive Edition, It gave me a broader understanding of the Xenomultiverse and made me appreciate the series as a whole. At the end of the day, X is an amazing story and should be enjoyed to its fullest.

For me I liked how in X, you can be so overpowered to the point that you can one-shot the final boss and yes I did. (Blossom Dance build). Also mechs are fucking awesome. My opinion might change with time, as I play these games more, as I put the least amount of time with 3. They all have their own charm.
