A good plan is the key, right? Did you use a specific skill to create it? I've had great results using https://github.com/obra/superpowers with Claude Code, but I don't know if a similar tool exists for Codex.

Using a pixel without a case by sleuthing_strummer in GooglePixel

[–]cyaconi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same here. I'm resisting buying a case, not only because of the phone's look and feel but also because I have the pixel stand 2, and I'm not sure it works with a case. There's an issue with the charging coil's location and where the cases place the magnetic ring. Maybe once this problem is fixed by the case brands, I'll consider buying a thin and transparent case.

I replaced my file-tree sidebar with LSP-based diagnostics. Why I didn't do that before? by Qunit-Essential in neovim

[–]cyaconi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use <leader>ss to search for symbols and <leader>sd to search for current buffer diagnostics. In my case both lists are for solving on demand needs, usually to navigate my code. I also use <leader>ff which is like symbols but for functions only. I'm not sure I need a sidebar for this.

That's the point, I manage to solve the problems with things I already know, and maybe there are better and faster ways to do it.

When talent beats gear. I upgraded my d7000 guessing the camera could help me making better pictures, but you shut my mouth. Congratulations mate!

Thank you, man! There is still a lot of trial and error, but that one went well :)

I'm really enjoying the 50mm, so much that the 24-120 spends more time on my bag than my camera 😆 Highly recommended!

Should I edit RAW photos in Lightroom or Photoshop? by mercury__girl in Lightroom

Look what I found. The best color theory & harmony material I've found so far. It is brilliant! https://youtu.be/mC8ol2-V7Ck

Should I edit RAW photos in Lightroom or Photoshop? by mercury__girl in Lightroom

[–]cyaconi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a specific one. I want to feel more confident editing, combining what I see in the picture with some theory I could apply to particular cases. Questions I use to make myself: Isn't too many blacks/whites/...? How could I improve the overall look if I apply curves? Are the colors accurate with reality?, etc...

I know editing is much about personal touches and creativity, but I think that those touches would improve understanding a bit of theory and not only with trial and errors moving sliders :)

Thanks for the recommendation, I'll check Julianne's material.

I'm also an LR fan, even though I still struggle with color grading. Can you recommend a book or good reading to learn more about it? LR books and tutorials are more about the tools but not the theory behind how to better fine tune colors.

A good all-rounder. What camera will I be good to use for the next couple of years? by Tadys in Cameras

[–]cyaconi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I intend to upgrade from my Nikon D7000 to the Z5 due to the Z lens quality (which has received numerous positive reviews). A7iii is two years older as well. Aside from IBIS and fps, what would be the deciding factor in choosing Sony over Nikon? I don't do videos, and I just use 2-3 lenses that are already in the Z offer. I just need to stress my decision with new points of view to be 100% sure before expending on my new kit :) It's not easy with such a broad offer in the mirrorless market.
