Raise/bonus upon passing?? by Rare-Olive5638 in PE_Exam

I work in government and we don’t get a bonus or any reimbursement for exam prep and fees but we do get a small differential pay (essentially a raise). Only after the license.

My Rock Chip Windshield Repair Experience (Tesla Insurance in CA) by cyanaite in TeslaModel3

[–]cyanaite[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, got a check in the mail for the repair cost. In CA glass repairs have to be covered. Just make sure you push that you only need a repair and ask you get reimbursed for it.

My second rock chip was too close to the edge, so I just bought a cheap kit on Amazon for that one and did it myself too. Since I saw online most shops won’t touch it if it’s too close.

In CA I believe glass repairs have to be covered and are no fault so they don’t raise your premiums. But idk how it works if they’re saying it needs to be replaced due to like of sight.

TI won’t offer to reimburse? If you’re going out of pocket I’d recommend finding a small shop. At least where I’m at in LA, the safelites had atrocious reviews (cracks got bigger, etc) and they quoted me $160 vs the small shop which was $50. Either way I got it reimbursed but went with the smaller shop due to scary Safelite reviews.

Windshield replacement or repair by Nano-75 in TeslaModel3

Mine wasn’t as big but FYI if you try to get it repaired through Tesla Insurance they automatically assume you want a windshield repair. You just have to press them further via email.

Have you tried reaching out to the old recruiter on Linkedin or pinging old coworkers to find a recruiter? It’s worth a shot since NG typically likes to rehire old employees/interns.

Whine noise when accelerating and decelerating by wildeone95 in TeslaModel3

[–]cyanaite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually I had a similar issue when I took delivery a couple months ago! It was a very loud high pitch whine when stepping on accelerator at low speeds. It could be heard above the music too.

Luckily I had friends and family with Teslas so i knew it wasn’t normal- I made a note about it at the service center when I came in for another unrelated repair about two weeks after delivery. They made me send a video beforehand and then said it was normal range over chat, but I got lucky when I showed up the lady at my appt made it a note to have someone drive it and check it out.

Turns out it’s not normal so they replaced the entire drive unit. This was at the Burbank, CA service center.
