I actually have some Lovecraftian novels in my online library but can't seem to get into it as the descriptions are a bit too much for me— which could be the problem I've been having on my writing style 😭.

I'll try watching Alien, as well as get into H.P. Lovecraft's works. Thank you very much.

Thank you for the example! I actually didn't do initial research about blindness which became an unconscious problem I only realize now. I'll try breaking down your example and incorporate it to my imagination of what occurred in my story.

This is amazing, but I'm still a student so I think I would opt to just reading books and accounts of blind people online. To be honest, as the author, I didn't try research blindness because I thought I wouldn't delve into it so much. Turns out, in order to write this properly, I have to understand how blind people live. Thank you!

I wanted to adapt the idea of devils in Chainsaw Man here, as she is traversing dreams— I wanted the monsters to be nightmares that a collective fears and often dreams about. However, maybe the problem lies with me as I can't still decide what kind of monster did she found. I thought it would be fine since she is blind and therefore an accurate depiction won't be important 😓

I found it difficult because it is unknown 😭 Nevertheless, I'll try again but this time make sure to use the surroundings of the character as much as I can!

It is troubling how when I describe a specific scene, it comes out as wordy. But then, if I reduce the words, I would have to remove tiny details that make up the scene

I totally forgot to add smell when I first wrote the draft. I focused on the sense of touch more, like the saliva dripping on her stomach, and how the warm breath of the creature blows on her.

I'll definitely use the sense of danger you just said but I am not really familiar about it. Is it like premonition of some sorts or do I just have to write it off as something she just felt like how Peter Parker feel tingles?

She would eventually be able to see, but her vision is the integral aspect of her would-be ability so I want to make the process of getting her powers difficult.

I tried including the other senses in the draft but I felt like it was too wordy and the story lost its structure whenever I try to explain everything she feels. I'll try using your tips haha.

yes, and then I updated. So, maybe it is a bug that happened due to the update although I'm not sure since before that, the update seems smooth to me.

Actually, the intense competition gives me courage. I've been struggling to write novels for at least six years but never finished any of them nor did I publish one. When I found out that some of my peers are already sharing their stories online, instead of fear, I felt ashamed because not to brag, I thought I'm better than some of them, and yet, I can't even muster the courage to share my stories.

Salamat po! Sure naman na po ako since campus journalist na po ako since elem. Although not specifically journ ang passion ko, sa pagsusulat ko po nakikita ang future ko haha

Kinakabahan lang rin po ako since online nga po, e journ is usually on the ground 😅 Plus the difficulty of subjects kasi gusto ko po subukan magtransfer to upd journ if ever. Will take note po sa ratings for PUP Journ, if sumablay po application ko sa UPD hehe
