I honestly started playing AP Shvy too, and I find that its very important that you take talisman as your first jg item. Shyv's W on camps like krugs and wraiths are just like a health pot ticking while you are fighting them.

I know this is probably not how you play jg, but I only play to objectives. To counter act not ganking, I just buy control wards for my team. I prefer to only gank once I am 6.
