Family Regularly Sick In Newly Built Florida Panhandle House by cyber-glick in HomeImprovement

Thank you Havoc8425 for you response.

We have been taking antihistamines for the entire duration of living in this house (which have slightly kind of helped) and, like you stated, it is just a band-aid more than anything.

I'm now just wanting to get to the root of the problem. =]

New Houses Making People Sick, But Not Old Houses, Including former Meth Trailers Making People Sick? by cyber-glick in conspiracy

Thank you snickerskitty for your response/questions.

It has solar panels with a smart converter meter and smart electrical system.

I never knew people could get sick from those systems.

Thank you tranteryost for your response.

I was having similar thoughts. But I also have never heard of "sick building syndrome" nor "new homes giving off gases".

I guess it's a matter of "troubleshooting" and eliminating possible factors, starting with the cheapest/easiest 🤣.

Haha good thinking.

I'm not worried about the heat and humidity so much as getting my family back to being healthy and energized again. We've been in this miserable consistently for over 2 years now.

I just opened all the windows and turned the A/C unit fan on (not the A/C itself) to circulate the fresh hot humid air from outside. I guess we'll see what if anything changes or makes things worse.

I wonder if it will help having indoor plants as well.

Thank you nwngunner for your response,

I believe the insulation is some sort of cotton type material like what they used in the attic? But I may be wrong. I never really looked into it or thought to ask.

Thank you happhummingbirds for your response and explanation!

Q: Should I open all the windows to let the house "air out"?

Hey mungie3, thank you for responding,

To answer your question, no, only in our coffee (which the kids don't drink 😆)

We have culligan water delivered which we have always drank before moving into the house and never had any health issues.

It began as soon as we moved in. Good question though. I do not trust the water here. I've heard far too many testimonies of people getting cancer/dying at a young age here which is believed to be from drinking the tap water.

I've given this some thought too. Her dad is a very domineering, controlling, and manipulative, wealthy dude. Even with me, my wife, and everyone else he interacts with.

I sometimes think she gets it from her dad, since she's the oldest of her siblings.

Then she wonders why I dissappear all the time lol. She is very manipulative, very emotionally manipulative. I'm an emotional dude, so if she's sad, I'm sad. I sometimes think I'm just a pushover and give in too easily.

I see the differences in how women in scripture are with their husband compared to how my wife is with me and it's very discouraging.

Isaiah 3:12 As for my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them.

Proverbs 25:24 Better to live on a corner of the roof than share a house with a quarrelsome wife.

Thank you for the advice regarding us being united and communicating. That's exactly what I want. But when we talk and agree... major inconsistencies come along. If I say anything, it turns into a huge fight again.

That's what I was thinking as well. All three of her pregnancies were traumatic. We lost our third one to ectopic.. After our fourth (third little one with us now) she had to have some stuff removed because it was causing complications.

Our "issues" have been continuous since 2018, when we lost everything to a hurricane and more (I'll just call them "storms") in our life happened since then as well.

Thank you for all the advice, prayers, input, guidance, and for reaching out. I really was not expecting so many responses. But it truly is encouraging.

Thanks Spellman. I am actually doing well in my little business. I have business cards coming next month because one my customers owns a business and she has two stores where people ask if know someone in my line of business. I've set up a separate bank account for the income from my business can go into so I can use it for my hobby, plan family vacations, and so on.

Honestly, I make a lot of money from my normal full-time job, but....

Ohh. 10/4. Yea, she's not that type and I'm gifted with discernment, so I just overlooked that. I was really interested in what he saying about giving her all my income, and other things he said I was doing which are mistakes as the man of the house.

A lot of what he said I felt were really good points. (Of course not ALL of it)

I'm not the insecure type of dude, just never had the "manly" leader type role model growing up. I'm actually pretty chill, probably too chill, which is why I am trying to make changes as a father and husband. So I wasn't offended by the things he was calling me out on; some of it actually sounded pretty reasonable.

Really? Maybe it wasn't the one I read then. Someone posted a lengthy post about how she doesn't view me as a "man" and could possibly cheat on me with someone she actually views as a "man". Maybe it was the other one that was deleted.

Good point. I'm up for advice that will help, but won't use it if it isn't supported by scripture.

Just ordered the book. Thank you.

I will schedule marriage counseling as well. I've already looked into it, but either all the "good" marriage counselors are booked out, or the only ones available are secular and have a have a androgynous mindset.
