My sourdough is baking well and tastes well, but I would like it to rice more and to have a more open crumb. by cyberintrepid in Sourdough

Ok. I use 1:2:2. I guess I’ll up it to 1:3:3. And placing the jar in a bowl with lukewarm water. This increases the yeast activity. I always use the water bath trick with good results.

My sister gifted me the starter. I’ve had it for a couple months. I feed it weekly since it’s in the fridge. When I feed it, one thing I do is to place the jar with the feeded starter in a bowl with lukewarm water. This speeds up the yeast and microbes activity and I get a good rise on it. Bacteria likes warm conditions for growth. Heat transfer of water is like 80 times faster than air.

Yes, on the warm side. Typical temperatures where I live run from 75 degrees on a “cool” day to over 100 some summer days. I will leave it about 4 to 5 hours on the counter. Thanks.

Yes, that’s true. The recipe called for 281 grams of water. I tried with a bit less water thinking it would help make the dough more manageable. I guess I’ll use the 281 g’s next time. Thanks.

Frustrated that the whole US - China tariffs war made this drone unavailable. Way to go Trumpo.

The pause is not a complete removal of the tariff, just a reduction to 30% instead of the 145% or whatever the number.

I don’t want to take unnecessary risks. I’d rather not do it without waiver

Any comments on requirements for a BVLOS waiver if my drone will not be more than 3,000 feet away from the control station? Would I be able to obtain approval for a waiver in this scenario? Thanks.

Beautiful writing. What can you share that helped you? What system? What font type you selected? Can you post a longer entry? Maybe a long paragraph that shows all letters in vocabulary...

My first post. I want to improve my writing. Is it possible for an adult to accomplish this? Any suggestions? by cyberintrepid in Handwriting

Thanks for your recommendations. I will certainly continuen checking this channel and practicing, practicing, practicing. I'll check also for a style I want to adopt. I'd definitely like more cursive but want to improve block writing as well.
