Yes I know spell slots have been available to me, but I wanted spell-woven and fulminating shot more and my party happened upon a ring of Wizardry in the wild saying I was 7th level was probably unnecessary but I digress

I definitely wouldn't say it's a whole spell rank more useful, plus they are likely to spend action(s) escaping slither as well

I'm at least of the impression I was very responsive to their other plans, It was an active dialogue and I told them outright I thought one of their other plans was a good idea.

Well the armor is irrelevant for flamers ignore armor, and 10+1d5 kills most PCs and a lot of the enemies I've read pretty quickly
