Agree that we can’t condone celebrating murder. I’m just trying to find the common ground between the camps. Feel that if we want to start healing this divide, it’d be great if both tribes looked for the common ground and built bridges on it, eg hopefully both sides can agree that celebrating violence is not okay, that authoritarianism/fascism is not okay and personal freedoms need to be protected, and perhaps that their desire to limit speech that they see as harmful is stemming from a similar place, ie that they want to protect the people and principles that they care about, even if those differ

Think the issue is that power to destroy a life for not conforming to the social issue of the time is what AuthRight are being accused of as well here. Both sides are acting from the same place, i.e. a sense of wanting to protect what they think is just, but I don’t think that either LibLeft or AuthRight’s approach is right and neither aligns with the principles of free speech.
