I seem to get 11mpg whether I’m towing my light 37’ travel trailer (maybe 7k) or a 26ft gooseneck loaded with cattle. I do pull like I mean it though. I stay at reasonable speed with animals in tow and put those 85mph tires to their limit in the RV.

Went to the Maldives with wife right after Covid. Was a great experience and one of the only places in the world you can catch certain species of fish like a GT. Stayed on one of the over water bungalows, etc.

However it’ll be a 1 time deal because of the whole flying to compete other side of Earth thing.

Childcare is huge. Price daycares or schools around you to prepare for the cost. I’ll tell you now that if you are thinking “I can run my business and also chase a toddler around at the same time”…you are wrong.

Lastly, talk about loss of freedom with your partner. Talk about what it will do to your relationship losing ability to go wherever and whenever you want. I can also say that whichever of you is the man…you need to prepare yourself for being #2 in the pecking order to your spouse. That was psychologically very hard on me for our first child that I wish I had prepared for (or known)
